What's the difference between a stadium and an arena anyway? A stadium can hold way more people than an arena.

Depends on the size, a stadium can hold 40-50k people. In Arenas, it's more like 20-25k at max. And some stadiums are called "arena" so it can be confusing.

Rolling in the Deep was pretty much the Blinding Lights of 2010-2012: Except for the part in which it actually had a Grammys bump.

For those who have access, what is Knife Talk's radio AI on Mediabase?

^It doesn't appear to be actively promoted on radio. So Twitter predictors are assigning a token value from 0.1 to 0.3 million weekly audience.

All of these debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 in case anyone was doubting what the #1 song is gonna be lol. If it's top 10 on Spotify that should be enough for it to debut early on the Hot 100 no? Some back of the envelope math for what would Adele's target be to hit the very bottom of the hot 100: #100 is ~45 points now, which is around 6M streams OR 22k sales OR 27M airplay. Obviously her song will do get some points from all 3, so let's see how we can divide it up. For radio, I would actually look to Ed Sheeran for a comparison (Recent hit with huge industry backing). It looks like he had ~9M on his first day. Even if Adele has a bigger radio push, I don't think she can pull any meaningful numbers in the first 5 hours. So it's all down to streams and sales. For streams, I can see her getting 2.5-3M - think 1M on spotify which isn't too crazy for the first 5 hours of a hyped up release. Maybe she has an outside chance at 4-5M if her streaming is absolutely huge. And then the rest is Sales, which she'll need probably something like 5-10k of in the first 5 hours. If I had to totally guess at some target, I'd say 3.5M streams / 10k Sales / 3M airplay would get her to charting. There's just so many unknowns here though, Sales being the biggest one. proud of this lol

It would make sense that this would be the year of the Adele comeback.

Idk about yall but I love that Adele debuted this week. I find it refreshing after almost 2 years FILLED TO THE BRIM with top 10 and number one debuts. I love seeing a healthy climb into the top 10.
Hate it or love it, "Fancy Like" was the first song in months that climbed its way into the top 10 -- even though i don't really like that song I always appreciate good chart longevity.
"Essence" and now "Shivers" both made it to the top 10 without debuting there. Next week Adele will soar 68-1 and be the third consecutive song to enter the top 10 and not debut there.
I'd also like to see "Need to Know" - "Beggin" - "Heat Waves" and "Cold Heart" join the list too.
Idk it just makes me happy to see less fluorescent blue on the wikipedia page for this year's top 10 songs lol

The bottom half of the Billboard top 10 has been so boring for the last few months, mostly consisting of the same songs that were released months ago and are just lingering around. It’s quite stale. “Good For You” “Levitating” and “Kiss Me More” are way passed their peaks. I wish these type of songs can just fall off faster.

Aren’t stadiums open at the top and arenas are closed off? I think that’s the only difference.

Literally if it were released just a few hours later it would have debuted at #1

Aren’t stadiums open at the top and arenas are closed off? I think that’s the only difference. Sometimes, but also not always. Which seems to be the case with all definitions of arena vs. stadium lol. Honestly, even after doing some research on it, it seems like no one really agrees and it's arbitrary labelling.

it’s so not related to the charts at this point, but I think in the US, stadiums are usually meant to host football games (and sometimes baseball or soccer), while arenas are for other sports events (basketball and hockey and such).
don’t know if this is the real distinction but that’s my perception of it anyway.

How many weeks do y’all think Easy on Me will stay at #1? Consecutive or non-consecutive weeks?

Never would’ve expected to see Adele of all people dethroned by an unknown artist during her lead single’s first week, but this just goes to show now iTunes is truly a rather irrelevant platform for every mainstream artist’s singles — including Adele.

Easy on Me would have to drop radically in the following weeks for Fancy Like to have a shot before the album release. I think after is more likely.

The Dubai International Stadium has a capacity of 25k. In comparison, some famous in-door arenas and their capacities: United Center: 23.5k Tacoma Dome: 23k Manchester Arena: 21k Scotiabank Arena: 20.5k Madison Square Garden: 20k

For some reason, people here are refusing to let Levitating go, even though it got that "one final week" in the Top 10 these last 4 weeks and the emergence of Cold Heart is here. I'm just glad Adele is releasing an album so close to Christmas that if all else fails, it will force Levitating into recurrency on the 12/11 chart.
