Olivia's nominated in every category at the AMAs she was eligible for. Not surprising.

My favorite part about the AMAs nominations is the fact they nominated Morgan Wallen twice but he's still a racist douchebag so on the website, they don't show his face they just show their logo.
Like if you're an awards show and you don't want to be associate with him maybe don't nominate him for your awards?

the grammy noms are less than a month away, i wonder if they'll bite and nominate wallen. the fact that radio seems to have forgiven him and sand in my boots is still charting right now could be bad sign

You missed Wooly Bully by Sam Sham and the Pharaohs in 1965. That was the very first #2 hit to top a Billboard YE. Wooly Bully was a truly awful song. I canβt believe that ended up as a YE #1, in a year when some great and memorable songs missed the YE. I like Wooly Bully :'(

The Grammys have routinely given problematic artists awards and shine following low periods of their careers, a notable example is giving Chris Brown a Grammy after he assaulted Rihanna during a previous Grammy ceremony. And I would go so far to say the Grammys are still pretty racist, remember The Weeknd stuff last year?

The Weeknd's snub had to do with the CEO and him exclusively performing at the Super Bowl etc etc etc... don't know what race has to do with it. You can argue wins and how so many white artists win all the time, but the Weeknd didn't get snubbed in noms over his race when so many black artists got nominated etc

Because nowhere was it said the Grammys werenβt problematic.

That is more about genre, though you can make a case for that being indirectly about race. Beyonce (yes), Ray Charles, Alicia Keys, Herbie Hancock, Bruno Mars, H.E.R., etc have managed to win in the big 3 categories in the past 20 years. Outkast is the only hip-hop act in the last 20 years to win Album, though (and Lauryn Hill is the only other one). Childish Gambino of course won Record and Song.

GRAMMYs are just mostly out of touch in general and have always been more miss than hit. Thank goodness they donβt really hold much relevance anymore but now Iβm being reminded we have to hear it get discussed this next 2-3 months here.

I like Wooly Bully WB is fine, although I do prefer the Jan.-Dec. #1 for that year (I Canβt Get No) Satisfaction. If you go by Billboards formula Wooly Bully is still the #1 song of that year in a J-D list. However I think Billboard's formula for 60's year ends (#1 - 100 points, #100 - 1 point) is exceptionally stupid so I used my own when making that thread

Wooly Bully is such an anticlimatic year end #1 for a year as good as 1965 was
Though nothing can compare to the year end #1 for the NEXT year lmfao

Wooly Bully is such an anticlimatic year end #1 for a year as good as 1965 was Though nothing can compare to the year end #1 for the NEXT year lmfao It seems that adults at the time wanted to counteract the anti-war sentiment by buying a pro-war record, but that was short-lived and the other side became stronger. Funny enough that there was an original list with California Dreamin at #1 but I prefer that list by MILES than what we have now. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_Year-End_Hot_100_singles_of_1966

I think that pre-order number includes streaming pre-saves.

I think that pre-order number includes streaming pre-saves. Probably since I doubt this had more proper pre orders than Divide. Not realistic tbh

Yes but Abel's snub was from noms, not wins.

Easy on Me should manage to stay at #4 in Radio Songs but without a bullet. Heat Waves got a new peak in both position and radio audience.

Is My Universe still climbing? Any chance it re-enters the top 10? It is still climbing on radio, but itβs not going back into Top 10 because neither BTS or Coldplay fans are invested in it. If it was ever going to return to the Top 10, it would have been last week during Coldplayβs album release.
