Hearing “So You Like What You See” for the first time outside of GTA:SA helped me realize just how bad the production on that song is. Or maybe it was just the version on Spotify, but it was just painful to listen to.
The other 3 I thought were decent though. I used to really like “Tomorrow” back when I wasn’t so annoyed by children’s choirs.

This extra was the first Hot 100 entry for this group from Italy, peaking at #8. Also rising to #2 on the R&B chart, it features uncredited vocals by Martha Wash. However, the vocals were credited to French model Katrin Quinol who also appeared in the group's music videos. This led Martha to sue the group for false advertising; it was later settled out of court.

Of course, this wouldn't be the last time this happened. Another group also used Martha Wash's vocals without giving her the proper credit, but we'll get there in the 1991 rankdown. |

My parents used to blast “Everybody Everybody”. lol. Those childhood memories come at me real fast.
But yeah the lip syncing model aspect in dance music was pretty wild in retrospect. Martha Wash was the one I felt was done dirty. Ya Kid K (Technotronic) and Penny Ford (SNAP) had different circumstances.

Well...damn..you guys are sooo ageist. Song is not even that bad. It's a total bop! 😏🙄 Yeah, I expected The Boyz to be low like last time, but I was like...9 and 10 when they were poppin' so I am going off how I feel when these songs were out. Y'all just hate kids, huh. So You Like What You See was one of my least favorite songs as a kid. Just awful. As for Skyy... :idontknowher: and fine with that. I have fond memories of my uncle introducing me to the Back On The Block album and then getting on cassette. I LOVED that Tevin song and would always sing it. It was actually my dream to sing it in a talent show one day. |
