you are really comparing 2011's and 2021's numbers? #1 on radio that week (Grenade) had around 130M vs this week's #1 Stay with 90M.

Yeah, I totally get sources doing their recap of the year in December. I do think it would feel weird (and people wouldn't care much) to hear about it in late January or something. Having said that, now there are so many sources who do year-end stuff that they jockey for position so they don't get overlooked, and that's probably why some have started doing it earlier. Be the first.

:ETA: It happens with critics lists and movie awards, too. They rush to get them out, and they end up missing things that arrive in December. I think Beyonce and D'Angelo both got stuck between years for new releases.

Apparently she sold ~62k US signed copies in 4 hours this morning which is insane. Expecting 100k more than Fearless first week, so maybe ~400k overall.

I expect it to clear 300k for sure, since Fearless (TV) almost did it (291k). Fearless (TV) managed to sell around 140k when she signed CDs and shipped the vinyl orders, which will be included in Red (TV) first-week numbers. I also think Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton and Phoebe Bridgers are bigger draws for the vault tracks than Maren Morris and Keith Urban were.

Overall, I am predicting 425k-475k for Red (TV). that said, would be ecstatic if she managed >500k.

Sooo happy Smokin' Out The Window is doing well, Skate really underperforming had me worried. And yea it's definitely a grower, it went from their weakest single (only slightly) to probably my favorite lol
