One Right Now is a pretty good song, definitely sounds like a smash.

tbh I was kind of expecting Post x Weeknd to not be good...and I was right, this is very very mediocre. Not a fan

Why does One Right Now sound like CVS music. Not what I was expecting from a collab between the two. I genuinely can’t picture this playing anywhere but a pharmacy for whatever reason.

Listen to this again and then listen to TMB/Moth and tell me if this new song sounds like another synth song.

Also that new Terrace Martin, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla Sign collab song came out and it’s pretty great.

Happy new Billboard year, everyone! And quite a busy way to start it off, too with all these big single releases.

"One Right Now" would be a definite grower for me just with the artists featured alone, the beat is synth-heavy

The hidden J. Cole feature on MAFIA definitely makes me think this will be contender for #1.

I kind of like it for new releases: make features a surprise but I think they should do what J. Cole did and after the first few hours, credit features.

Probably for the long game. Once you get in pharmacy playlists, you're there for decades. Ask Matchbox Twenty. Having a big AC recurrent is very lucrative.

Abel, Post, Travis, Silk Sonic, and Summer all delivered imo. This is definitely a great Friday for music. My friends and I just checked out these songs together and so far "One Right Now" and "Escape Plan" seem to us like they're gonna be smashes. "Smokin Out the Window" and "Mafia" were a nice chill vibe. Summer tho on "Dat Right There" with Pharrell's production slayed.

I would normally be bored and right MAFIA off as another boring trap song but for some reason it works. I can't really explain it well, there's just something about the beat that's really nice and I surprisingly found myself replaying it a bit

Am I only one that feels genuinely happy when listening to "One Right Now"? I don't why but my roommate and I just feel so uplifted everytime we've played this tn. The last two songs to do this to me were "Sit Next to Me" and "Heat Waves".

I am listening to "One Right Now," and I enjoy it. That bassline sounds really familiar but I can't place it yet.

I just wanted One Right Now to end. Abel‘s features don’t do anything for me lately.

ORN is ok, but it's also a mess in the sense that it's unclear whether it's a Post Malone single or The Weeknd single, and whose upcoming album it supports. Both?

So I looked at a few sub-reddits for opinions about it and damn this is really love it or hate it. r/popheads seem to like it a lot and most people on r/postmalone are enjoying it (a few say that it sounds like an AH throwaway.) However everyone practically on r/TheWeeknd is s**tting all over it."too basic" and "generic radio music" From just these 3 crowds if people I get the feeling it'll be well-received. That's it. Just well-received. As for I myself, I believe it to be very much Stay mk 2 for better or for worse. It does sound a bit generic icl but once you let go of feeling that it has to be serious it becomes alright to me
And it's impacting radio on Tuesday the 9th so there's that I guess.

Like I said in the ORN thread, this is by far the poppiest single Posty has ever released. It's nothing really new from The Weeknd.
The track doesn't quite reach the highs of Post and Abel's pop hits (Circles and Blinding Lights), but it's a fine song. I think it'll be a huge grower.

Perhaps Mafia debuts at #1, EOM returns to the top the next week, Escape Plan reaches the top after a video drops and urban radio picks up, AIWFCIY reaches the top and ORN gets to #1 with a strong radio push and streaming stability after the Christmas flood ends?
