*insert One Right Now first impression #53* alright, it's somehow basic yet unique. The vocals are meh. The instrumental is where it stands out. It has a cool, dark 80's vibe and it has deep, heavy-hitting bass which I love so overall I like it.

Is it gonna be a big hit? As Ben Stiller once said in the All Star music video, I'd say there's potential.

One Right Now sounds like a non-catchy version of Stay and even that song is nothing special. The two Travis songs sure do exist. Silk Sonic have their worst single to date (still pretty good)

In the battle of duos today...Bruno and Anderson won.

Tbh, as much as I'm trying to like One Right Now, I feel like Posty is really peaking with Hollywood's Bleeding, and anything he releases since has been very disappointing. And Abel? He's good as usual, but that's about it. It's a 6,5/10 from me.

Meanwhile, Smokin' Out the Window is pretty much similar to other Bruno's throwback song, and I dub SOTW an upbeat version of Versace on the Floor. The good news? I LOVE VOTF, so I like this song by default. I still prefer Skate, tho. But it's still a good 7,5/10.

Man, can't wait for the Silk Sonic album!

One Right Now - bland. Very very bland. Smile was better, this is a a hard pass.

Escape Plan - Actually good, I was worried after Franchise but I like this, hopefully it does well.

Smoking Out The Window - Not doing it for me. Idk, it just doesn't feel right. Maybe I just need to listen to it, IDK, but its no Skate or LTDO.

No Love - Pretty good. Not a big R&B guy but I like this, hopefully it sticks around a bit.

The Weeknd sounds great on that song. Everything else about it is blah, though. I want him to ease up on the synth pop now. I do not want a whole project of that again, and everything he is putting out right now, from singles to features, is synth pop.

Summer walker's bitter ft cardi b reached #1 on AM in ~7-8 hours, one of the fastest debuts at #1 on the platform. It's seeming like it's gonna do incredibly MASSIVE numbers. For perspective, it's even reached #1 faster than WAP did. Will it be a possible contender for #1? I guess we'll have to see how it holds the rest of the week, and how the spotify numbers look.

I’m curious as to whether Summer Walker will finally get a YE hit in 2022 thanks to this album’s timing. Playing Games cracked the top 20 but got caught between years in 2019/2020.

Summer Walker is about to open higher than an Ed Sheeran album and that Bruno Mars album that is coming out next week 

I have no idea why they are not putting out SZA's album because everything is point to it being really big

I think it's more of a case of AM being pretty weak rn. W2S has been top 2 for 1,5 months without being particularly huge.

Any ABBA fans ? Love them and always will but this album is disappointing and only diehards will enjoy it …. ‘When you danced with me’ is a true standout . And I intend to catch them on tour as many times as I can for the glory of the old songs

Honestly I think that diehards are the intended audience, I mean I highly doubt many people unfamiliar with ABBA would start with this. The album is a lot better when you think of it as a gift to the fans as one last goodbye (they said this will be their last album for real)

huge ABBA fan but this (for the sake of objectivity) sounds like B sides to me . But still staying the course and I’ll die on this ABBA hill 😂

you’re right , that’s the best way to view this album ❤️ But I’m so loyal and I REALLY wanted them to slay and gain a whole slew of new fans

According to Hits and the Spotify chart, it got about 8,000,000 on demand streams outside of Spotify this week. Assuming that 7,000,000 of those are from Apple Music, that averages to 1,000,000 everyday. You appear to not be aware of what a rolling chart is, but having thirteen songs above that in eights hours is not weak. It is not a 172 debut, but it is still pretty strong

Or maybe the album was just so anticipated by the fans who wanted to hear it right away, but that doesn't mean the demand among the GP is magnificently huge.

Obviously AM being weak at the top right now helps, but Summer is definitely doing big numbers in general imo. Every girl I see on social media is talking about the album. I haven't seen any other female album this year get as much immediate discussion.

I would not be surprised if this pulls higher streams first week than Billie and Ariana's last albums. Probably won't top SOUR though.
