Yes, this is horrible news, things like this shouldn't happen anymore, after many similar stampedes in the past. Demonstrates very poor and complete incompetence on the part of the festival organizers and security. And apparently Scott was still performing up to the disaster (though not exactly clear up to what exact point, and if he finished out his set), and he brought on Drake as a surprise guest, which might have been what tipped things over the edge. He had nearly 2M daily streams of a song in his spotify. In what universe is that a rational take to assume that means audiences are indifferent to him? I said growing indifferent as in they are not completely there yet. His song is number one on the two biggest playlists. 1,800,000 plays is not even that high either with all of that exposure. It is not as if the numbers are big but he is behind a WAP sized hit |

Yβall should really lower your expectations its really not that deep if a song doesnβt do that well on itβs FIRST DAY. Itβs been like this since the beginning of the pandemic where points are lower than normal so itβs nothing new.

Yeah, between that and the other song from the summer, people appear to be growing indifferent to Post Malone. He is not even number one on Spotify despite being number one on Today's Top Hits I definitely would not say people are "growing indifferent" towards him, I just think that the hype factor has died down considering he's been in the spotlight for over half a decade at this point. But that's natural with most artists. I remember a few years ago when Beerbongs and Bentleys dropped, everyone i knew was talking about it and listened to it as soon as it dropped, it was a big deal. I don't feel that type of instant hype around his new music anymore but I still consider him one of the bigger Pop stars of today. He just needs the right song and hook to catch on with audiences. |

While the organizers deserve the most flack: both for not hiring tighter security and for selling more tickets despite knowing it was more than the venue could handle, (They sold 100K tickets for a venue that could mostly hold 50K, and more people snuck in because there wasn't better security), Travis needs to be held accountable as well for continuing the show. He recognized problems were occurring and that fans were crying for the show to be stopped and he still went on. That is inexcusable irresponsible on his end and damages will undeniably have to be paid |

It's incidents like this that make me afraid to go to concerts with general admission /standing near the stage. It's not a stampede per say, really it was a human crush, meaning so many people were packed into one place that they did not have much room to expand their lungs and ribs to breathe. It happens when artists are greedy and sell way too many tickets than the venue can handle.
