Well we're always going to have to live with the classic Xmas tune called "Sketchy Underwear" Mariah, Ariana, Kelly and company could never.

Santa Tell Me and Underneath the Tree exist, but okay. This. Just because they are not as popular doesn't mean they aren't Christmas standards. As generations move on, though, I think "Santa Tell Me" could usurp AIWFCIY.

I could never see a song like UTT surpassing AIWFCIY(at least in our consciousness), because to me it sounds like an intentional tried carbon copy that doesn't come close to the original. And why settle for a second rate and inferior version when the original is definitively better, unless you are just a KC fan which in itself is not enough to surpass a real modern day classic. AIWFCIY is better produced and more catchy, sing-along where it's even catchy for many toddlers. The song gets stuck in the head more than any of those other modern day songs.
I love Santa Tell Me. I hope it becomes a perennial holiday staple.

Obviously some of the more current holiday songs could become standards, but I don't see them 'replacing' anything. It's not like "AIWFCIY" and others aren't also popular with young listeners. "RATCT," "AIWFCIY," and "JBR" are at the top of current Spotify, so even if they're older than more current songs, younger people are still listening to them and making them part of the holiday.
Ultimately the holiday songbook has felt very limited for years (i.e. the same like 25 songs being covered over and over) so I am very happy to expand that and add in some new songs so we get more variety. The holiday catalog can be expanded without anything being 'replaced.'
