^ That is way too funny! The Broadway Girls (whoever they are) must be hyped that their song is having such a great day on iTunes! There's something very fishy about that song/artist. It's the only song they've released (a release date of Oct. 31, 2021 is listed), and the genre shows "alternative rap," even though if you listen to the sample it's just repetitive synths that isn't rap. I could also find almost nothing on them on the internet or social media, so it seems this might just be a fake song put up as a decoy. Funny nonetheless! Edit: Yeah Broadway Girls was first teased by Morgan in October (I think without Lil Durk), so that is definitely what that track was meant to do!

Does anyone else think Knife Talk is going to eventually make the crossover on radio?

I did hear previously (before PopCrave’s announcement today) that Harry Styles is planning to release something in the near future. I’m not sure about Beyonce, though. The only thing indicating something might be coming from her soon is the fact that she created a TikTok account recently.

Tbh, even if the Beyonce story was true and she was going to release new music, I'm not sure it would've for a new album. It could've been a soundtrack song for another movie or another protest song or even another remix.

It could've been a soundtrack song for another movie or another protest song or even another remix. There‘ve been reports that she wanted to tour the UK this summer but had to postpone due to COVID. A world tour by summer 2022 is highly likely, of course with the pandemic situation in mind. And there’s no way she starts a solo world tour without a new album.

Great debut for Broadway Girls on Spotify. Wonder where it will debut. Top 20 seems likely?

Terrible debut for Roddy. It's ironic that good word of mouth caused his debut to overperform expectations and now bad word of mouth is causing his sophomore album to flop. I can't say it's not deserved, the album is incredibly uninspired.

I think Beyoncé will do a surprise drop, that's probably why her team was quick to squash the rumor.

In the case of Roddy Ricch, I guess Late at Night was a forebearer of how mediocre or bad his music was about to get. Or you could chalk it up to the sophomore jinx that many artists have gone through after a very successful first album singleswise.

I think Beyoncé will do a surprise drop, that's probably why her team was quick to squash the rumor. My guess is she drops on the 31st of December.

Thank you Christmas for blocking morgan's spotify #1. It’s a curious decision as to why Morgan didn’’t wait 2 more weeks for the Christmas songs to clear out. He would have had a much better chance at the Hot 100 #1.

Well at least we now know the timetable for being back in public graces after saying the n-word hard r is 11 months. You dont even have to make amends or be truly sorry for; just have a quick "I'm sorry vid" (that he privated so every video you see is a reupload), no real community service; just be quiet for the rest of the year, and people will forgive you. We can blame the industry as well for being quick to but those first day streams didn't come from the industry alone.
Whatever. I'm numb at this point.

He's had the biggest album of 2021 and it's been in the top 10 basically the entire year. He never actually took a break from being in the public's good graces no?
It was known right after his Country demo would continue supporting him, and the average Lil Durk fan probably knows little about him since that's a completely different demographic who likely cares less about Country artists (nor do many of them care about when rappers make problematic comments, so...).
It was obviously a label-planned collab for the purpose of saying "well black people have forgiven him, look, he's doing a song with a black artist and it's doing well so why should the Country format continue to hold a grudge hehe". It's a bit weird Lil Durk agreed to be the puppet for it, but at the end of the day stop expecting these artists to be social justice pioneers or act in interest of your social/political beliefs. Even when half of them do its all performative anyways.

Well, this really should not have come as a surprise, especially after the industry has given guys like R Kelly and Chris Brown (who have done far worse) chance after chance. I won't be surprised when DaBaby gets another chance and makes his return in 2022 like nothing happened.

I know it's not getting the best reception but damn I expected the Roddy album to do better on Spotify

Roddy really dropped the best track on the album before and even that was mediocre at best. I just hope this doesn’t kill his career and there could still be a second hit from the project.

My slogan for Heat Waves: It just keeps going! I'm actually interested to see where this song would be on the next June. For a song titled "Heat Waves" and explicitly containing the lyric "late nights in the middle of June", it's a great surprise that it peaked during winter.
