A little treat before the dawn... The extended mix of "MOTF" which was originally an Amazon Music exclusive is now available on all platforms:

No thanks. If anything, that song suffers from being TOO long (a struggle I can empathize with)

^ Ironically this version has more replay value they changed a bit of the structure including inside the core length of the song.

Crazy how none of The Weeknd features have connected. Let's see how well his next album does. I was surprised at the Roddy Ricch huge flop. Not that The Weeknd could possibly flop as hard as him, but the Roddy Ricch situation goes to show you that no one is really safe in this era unless you're Drake, Taylor or Adele.

Weeknd features have never really connected tbf. Yes we've had Love Me Harder, Low Life and You Right but Lust for Life, Lost in the Fire, 6 Inch, The Curve, Comin Out Strong, Over Now, FML, all his Belly collabs, hell even Ariana's second Weeknd collab - off the table wasn't the smash deepcut. a Weeknd guest feature has rarely been a sure fire hit. Also Roddy Ricch was never as big as Abel, Drake, Taylor, Adele, or hell even Lil Baby so him underperforming isn't that much of a surprise.

Weeknd features have never really connected tbf. Yes we've had Love Me Harder, Low Life and You Right but Lust for Life, Lost in the Fire, 6 Inch, Comin Out Strong, Bed Time Stories, Thought I Knew You, Rambo, Over Now, FML, all his Belly collabs, hell even Ariana's second Weeknd collab - off the table wasn't the smash deepcut. a Weeknd guest feature has rarely been a sure fire hit. Also Roddy Ricch was never as big as Abel, Drake, Taylor, Adele, or hell even Lil Baby so him underperforming isn't that much of a surprise. There’s a middle ground as well: features of his that peaked in the top 10 but never lasted such as Hurricane and Smile (and One Right Now but that could change if longevity is proven and it’s also ironic that you have the 2 worst people to collab with if you wanna get a hit and them together doesn’t immediately fall off the face of the earth). These were collabs with big enough names so it probably made more sense, but more importantly they were part of the AH era as well which gives me a side of hope that The Dawn could actually be a hit era. He’s also still one of the top 5 most streamed artists on Spotify right now so they’ll at least be a big enough crowd to enjoy and eat the music up, including myself. As for the Roddy Ricch situation, the main reason that his album underperformed had to do with its overall quality, which i’m sure Abel always ensures that he delivers when it comes to his own mainline projects. I remember people talking about the whole Starboy formula being used over and over and then it stopped it and he tried newer things, so the 80s sound he’s using over and over might actually not be the whole project. As long as he doesn’t release his equivalent to Yummy, i think he’s all good.

No thanks. If anything, that song suffers from being TOO long (a struggle I can empathize with) both acts have made longer and you really only have to "suffer" through an intro and outro that are both 30 seconds long in the extended, which happen to be completely skippable in the listeners' context

Would We Don't Talk About Bruno be the top 10 hit with the most lead artists if it hits the top 10?

I will check the album for sure but if he had gone away with SYT and was just about to come back I'd be way more excited.

I'm curious what's the reaction of grade school and middle schoolers to Encanto. I remember when I was in grade school/middle school, we'd constantly play the Frozen soundtrack so I wonder how much they play it.

Seems like November-January will become the new period for Soundtracks since less artists want to release during the Holiday freeze and most major motion pictures by contrast usually come around that time.
Nov. 2017 - Jan. 2018: The Greatest Showman Nov. 2018 - Jan. 2019: A Star is Born Nov. 2019 - Jan. 2020: Frozen II Nov. 2020 - Jan. 2021: Movie industry still dealing with COVID Nov. 2021 - Jan. 2022: Encanto

Are we really going to turn "We Don't Talk About Bruno" into a future Top 10 hit on the Hot 100? I don't actually hate that song or anything, But damn "How Far I'll Go" deserved to have this kind of success.

January has always been good to movie musical soundtracks. Frozen hit #1 there in 2014. Dreamgirls hit #1 there in January 2007.

So realistically what are Dawn FM's chances of being number 1 for all January. From what I can see no-one seems to be dropping.
