January has always been good to movie musical soundtracks. Frozen hit #1 there in 2014. Dreamgirls hit #1 there in January 2007. Waiting to Exhale rose to #1 in January 1996. |

The only real threat is WDTAB potentially hitting the top 10, which is more likely to knock out Bad Habits, and Cold Heart has been above BH in sales and streaming (and only slightly behind it on radio) most of the week anyway. |

Crazy how none of The Weeknd features have connected. Let's see how well his next album does. I was surprised at the Roddy Ricch huge flop. Not that The Weeknd could possibly flop as hard as him, but the Roddy Ricch situation goes to show you that no one is really safe in this era unless you're Drake, Taylor or Adele. Weeknd features have never really connected tbf. Yes we've had Love Me Harder, Low Life and You Right but Lust for Life, Lost in the Fire, 6 Inch, The Curve, Comin Out Strong, Over Now, FML, all his Belly collabs, hell even Ariana's second Weeknd collab - off the table wasn't the smash deepcut. a Weeknd guest feature has rarely been a sure fire hit. Also Roddy Ricch was never as big as Abel, Drake, Taylor, Adele, or hell even Lil Baby so him underperforming isn't that much of a surprise. Roddy's debut was huge, though. He should have easily debuted higher. |

Are we really going to turn "We Don't Talk About Bruno" into a future Top 10 hit on the Hot 100? I don't actually hate that song or anything, But damn "How Far I'll Go" deserved to have this kind of success. It's odd that that's the song, out of all the songs in the movie, that has stood out and risen to the top. I would think much more that "The Family Madrigal" would have been the one because it's the opening number and is much more upbeat and captures the lively spirit of the movie the most, but honestly none of the songs are very radio friendly, which will hinder any of their success. |

Bruno's a banger that gets stuck in your head more and more with each listen - I'm not surprised it's smashing. The Family Madrigal is too lyrically complex (it explains like every member of the family in-depth) to be a big hit. Musically it's nothing special either IMO
