what if Heat Waves just kept slowly but surely rising on every metric for eternity? Hitting #1 in it's 60th week and then stays there for the entire year until it was dethroned by phiagles singlehandedly brings Blinding Lights back to #1 through sheer delusion

what if Heat Waves just kept slowly but surely rising on every metric for eternity? It better be. I want this song to stay on the top 10 up until June. I like Heat Waves, but it staying in the Top 10 until June would probably mean that EOM and Stay are also there and that nothing much of note was released. Plus, HW would be 2 years old at that point.

We Don’t Talk About Bruno could possibly challenge for #1:

We Don’t Talk About Bruno could possibly challenge for #1: I didn't realize it had that much airplay. That does help.

We Don’t Talk About Bruno could possibly challenge for #1: I didn't realize it had that much airplay. That does help. I don't know how real that is. That account has 1 follower and their last prediction is that "Driver's License" will re-enter the Top 40 next week. Seems more like wishful thinking.

It's not real, from what I can tell, it doesn't even have airplay or at least as much as that page is saying.

It doesn't have that much airplay, that account is both new and has a 0 for 2 track record in predictions so far (predicted When I'm Gone to make the top 90 of the Hot 100 and it didn't even make the list, predicted Drivers License would re-enter in the top 40 and it's not even top 5 of Hot 100 Recurrents), and that stat breakdown makes me suspect that they're trolling.

Probably has something to do with him renewing his record deal and asking for a favorable deal. Republic might be reluctant to come to the table for that and hence, the delay in his album's release.

Lol at Bruno’s 19.3M airplay…I’m not sure if that song has 1M?

^One thing for sure. It isn't on kworb's radio update. Which definitely means less than a 5 Mediabase radio audience.

I was like, what in the name of faux airplay numbers is that for "...Bruno"?

I doubt Bruno or any songs from Encanto would ever get much if any airplay no matter how massive it is in all other metrics, especially with Bruno being very "musical". If it gets to #1 it would be because of some kind of live performance or the like elevating it's status as a phenomenon even further.

I'd imagine Bruno would be a station switcher/high burn track. Those who love the movie - yes, but beyond that, radio is a completely different animal driven by broader demographics. Five seconds of that male vocal and I was done.
That said, it's always great to have left-field / non-traditional songs break through on the H100.

Easy on Me has surpassed everyone's expectations, am i rite? To the point where I’m just about sick and tired of it. The same thing happened with Stay. We Don’t Talk About Bruno going to #1 would be a breath of fresh air.

With so many songs re-entering this past week to fill the void left over the past month, the only songs I strongly expect to exit for good are Pepas, Leave the Door Open, and Chasing After You. Even with two album bombs incoming simultaneously, I think more damage will be done to the bottom 50 than the top 50.

I'm hoping the release of the "Oh My God" video tomorrow will indirectly boost "Easy On Me" enough to secure the #1 this week.

Easy on Me has surpassed everyone's expectations, am i rite? I thought it would do better than 5 weeks topping streaming and 2 weeks topping sales. It is being spammed by radio more than I expected though so.

Easy on Me has surpassed everyone's expectations, am i rite? I mean, it's mainly on top due to airplay, and I guess that should have been expected if only because of AC and Hot AC (but it is big on Top 40 too). I could see it dropping below "Stay" and some other songs at some point.

Sure, but if you removed airplay from the equation "We Don't Talk About Bruno" would be #1 by a mile and "abcdefu" would be above "Easy on Me" as well. That isn't to say "Easy on Me" is weak (it isn't), just that chart-wise it feels even bigger than it is because of airplay. "EOM" will likely get as many or more weeks at #1 than "Hello" (not to mention "Stay" and "good 4 u" and others), but I don't think it's actually bigger than those songs. It has sort of lucked into a slow time on the charts where its airplay can carry it to a long run at #1.

I think radio holding on to EOM and Stay might actually be hurting their legacy. People are viewing these songs as radio driven, even though they had some strong streaming numbers at the beginning of their runs. Radio moved on from G4u and KMM in a reasonable time, and (rightfully) no one calls them radio driven.
