"Out of Time" got added and replaced "I Heard You're Married" (which was originally intended to be a single) on this playlist. This is despite "Gasoline" going for adds soon on radio. Should be interesting to see how all these songs hold up, especially if anything on the upcoming deluxe edition of 'Dawn FM' resonates well with the GP as well.

Did neither light switch by Charlie Puth nor High by The Chainsmokers actually get released?

The fact "Easy On Me" would have 12+ weeks #1 if it wasn't for the Xmas rush is.... depressing?
There is legitimately no competition on the songs chart. A song that peaked in August is right below it as the only contender.
January is usually slow, but right now is another level of drought I do not recall seeing in any recent years. It's also weird because the albums chart is atleast somewhat busy. It's not like the #1 album is doing 40k or something which you would expect seeing this type of drought on Hot 100.

Time to outsource and let fans pick the single or what?

New Avril Lavigne and Gunna/Drake, yeah, itβs a slow week I see βP powerβ sticking around as its got real hype behind it and Drakeβs name helps it a lot. βpushin Pβ will continue to gain due to its viralityand possibly be the biggest hit from DS4EVER, maybe even making the YE top 20. "Out of Time" got added and replaced "I Heard You're Married" (which was originally intended to be a single) on this playlist. This is despite "Gasoline" going for adds soon on radio. Man this is already looking to be a disaster of an era if this keeps going up. They should probably look at what the fans are listening to the most and pick that as the next single, but just not right now obviously. Focus on Sacrifice, and then move onto another choice like Out Of Time or Is There Someone Else? which is still doing excellent on streaming for non single standards.

I mean they probably assumed that I Heard You're Married would stick around the most thanks to Wayne's name recognition but it didn't, and the fan-favourite song rn is Out Of Time, so switching them and making the latter a single for urban radio may be a good idea, since it would give it a base and stability and put it in a good position to make it the main single after Sacrifice peaks.
What I totally don't get is the push that Gasoline is getting. I really enjoy the song but I don't think it's for everyone, and Sacrifice is doing well already so splitting the attention seems kind of... Misguided?

It's bad enough that Take My Breath got a full push as a single and still managed to underperform, especially when compared to the success of Blinding Lights and Save Your Tears. The Weekend/Republic thinking they can successfully push multiple singles now is interesting. They should focus on pushing Sacrifice as a single and then when that takes off and gains some momentum, they can try pushing something else.

There's NO WAY they should mess it up right now.

Blame radio for having EOM at 120M+ and Stay at 100M+ for an extended period of time. G4u and KMM, the big songs before that, only peaked at about 90M on radio.

Hopefully a full week of the video will help "Oh My God" climb back into the top 20 or even top 15.

Yeah EOM has been consistently strong on all metrics. I believe every week it gets at #1 is warranted.

Yeah EOM has been consistently strong on all metrics. I believe every week it gets at #1 is warranted. It does, but it's also one of those situations where it doesn't feel like the biggest song out right now, or more so doesn't feel like a 10+ week #1.

I get what you mean about it not feeling like a mammoth-size hit, but in comparison to everything else right now, Iβm not sure if thereβs anything that has really felt bigger. The competition isnβt really very strong.

The competition isnβt really very strong. Not necessarily, and it's why I acknowledged it does deserve to be #1. Well, I would say "Bruno" has felt bigger the last week or two. It's just my experience and I don't want to assume everyone has the same experience, but I actually hear people talking about that song, see people on social media post about it, etc. It also was #1 in streaming. To me that one has felt bigger the last week or two. So, again, if not for the huge airplay lead, "EOM" wouldn't necessarily be #1.

Isn't how something feels subjective? Lol Yes, thus I wrote "It's just my experience and I don't want to assume everyone has the same experience" And the numbers said "Bruno" was the most streamed song last week.

IMO, Xmas aside, in the last 12 weeks, EOM was the biggest song for 10 weeks (ATW 1 week and WDTAB 1 week)
streaming (no Xmas songs): 1-1-1-1-3-1-1-2-4-4-4-5
sales: 4-1-3-2-1-2-1-4-6-6-4-3-4
radio: 4-4-2-2-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-1
and I agree, if it reaches 10 weeks at #1, it still wouldn't "feel" huge like Hello was with the same amount of weeks at #1, but the numbers are still impressive.

I don't think "Easy On Me" is undeserved, as in it's not the most popular song currently. I think there is just an absolute DROUGHT and it shouldn't have gone unmatched this long lol.
It's not pulling record numbers ala Old Town Road/Uptown Funk/etc to warrant 3+ months reigning. There is literally just no competition. A song that has been top 10 for 6 months and a song that has been charting for 1 year are next to it in top 3. There is no new smash hits. Just old songs carrying on.
Like I said a few weeks ago, this is actually pretty similar to the period when One Sweet Day/Exhale/Hey Lover all became the longest #1, #2, and #3 running songs ever because it was just static at the top of the charts with no new hits for a whole quarter.
"Industry Baby" is still the highest R&B/Hip-Hop song on the Hot 100 after 5 months which is even more insane to me.

How many weeks were they the exact top 3? Wasn't "Gangsta's Paradise" #4 or #5 most of that time, too? I know TLC released a single in that time, but it was a fourth single so...Madonna had "You'll See" drop around then, but it wasn't a long lasting hit.

At least One Sweet Day and Exhale were actually strong throughout their runs at the top. EOM and Stay feel like they peaked months ago, and their runs at the top are being extended by radio. If not for IB sneaking in a week at #1, EOM and Stay would be the only #1βs on pop radio in nearly a half yearβs time.
