after a federal judge dismissed the lawsuit the other day, the accusers are officially dropping it. the judge had given them the option to amend their complaints and refile the lawsuit by the end of next week.

Lead single set to be released sometime this year. Album next year. From HITS: Sophomore efforts are in the offing from new queens Olivia Rodrigo (whose new track is big and not going anywhere) and Dua Lipa (single this year, album in '24), while SZA has found a clear lane to pop stardom — and has the #2 album YTD. When the mix of star and song is on point, even in the era of Morgan Wallen and Bad Bunny, pop can still be the biggest thing in the world. |

The 'sophomore' part is so laughable and yikes at the same time that I want to roll my eyes to the person who wrote the article and thought that Future Nostalgia was Dua's debut album and ignored completely her self-titled debut album.

And tbh if you want some variety in your discovery of Dua's music so far you can't ignore debut. Sure FN is the vastly superior album but Dl1 covered a lot of different sounds while FN was very much all in one lane.

There hasn't been a more obvious ascent to the top of the music industry in the recent years than that of Dua's. She got her first few hits, then took full control of her music and led the '80s pop-disco revival and now she's gonna continue to rack up critical acclaim and fan appreciation with the new era.

The label really dont want it to leak. If it's taken into consideration that Future Nostalgia leaked two weeks in advance and it made the album to be brought forward a week, I guess this is understandable and they don't want the same to happen again. Either way, it makes me think that the rumour that the lead single will be available next week might be true after all. |
