She served with that performance and the song sounds like a hit.

I wonder if she'll do european festivals (hopefully including Glasto) and then US+EU Fall 2024 and ROW in 2025

I need this album now. I haven’t been disappointed in anything yet.

so that video was boring…what were they thinking. There was that rumor that they filmed an expensive and violent music video back in the late summer for "Training Season" and pulled the plug because of the violence in Gaza. If that is true, I can understand why the scraped together something boring at the last minute.

HITS is hinting in one of their recent articles that Dua is going to headline Glastonbury this year, alongside Coldplay and Shania Twain in late June. If this indeed happens, I could see the album to be released that month (probably, 6/21 or 6/28) and the reason why she skipped Coachella.

It’s odd how we have two separate single releases and music festivals dates but no word yet on album title, album cover, or release date.

It is more like her Witness era even though I don't want it to be.

Dua won her seventh BRIT award for Pop act. https://www.instagram.com/p/C4BvvsBoSRt As a side note, she uploaded her "Training Season" BRIT performance on Instagram and included the following part: "got more coming for yaaaaa soon!!!". I wish she would have revealed the album title, which is clearly going to be Vertigo at this point if I'm not mistaken, and the release date too, which I still think it should be in Q2 (sometime in May or June, at the very least, to coincide with her Glastonbury headlining, although the line-up of the latter remains unknown to date). I don't know why, but if Dua and/or her team missed this big opportunity to announce something related to the album and release date at the biggest British music night (re: BRITs), I guess they're waiting until the news of the Glastonbury line-up comes up now to reveal the album title and the release date too. I mean, it doesn't make any sense why they're waiting for so long to announce this when everyone (male or female artists and bands) is doing so. I'm aware Warner is planning a long term era, like Future Nostalgia, but I hope anything related to the album title and release date is coming sooner than later.

That "Training Season" performance at The BRITs was great! If Super Bowl doesn't have her name on a shortlist, they're clearly doing something wrong.

I wouldn't say she's ready for that just yet, but with a few more albums (and bonafide smashes) under her belt, I could see her putting on an outstanding SB Halftime Show.

Bruno Mars headlined during his second album's run. I don't really think they're looking for legacy status, just enough well known hits to fill 12 minutes, and well... she's got that at this point.

I don't really think they're looking for legacy status, just enough well known hits to fill 12 minutes, and well... she's got that at this point. Her career is *good*, but not Superbowl good. To date in the US, she has had 5 top 10 songs, 0 number 1 hits and 0 number 1 albums. Bruno Mars, at the point he performed Superbowl, already had 12 top 10 songs and 6 number 1 hits. Superbowl is really a place for people who have shifted the music lanscape and/or left a legacy that will be remembered 20-40 years from now. I love Dua, but in the US, she hasn't hit those marks.

Yeah, there is no way in which she would draw global excitement for a solo headline show. As a guest? Sure! As a headliner if she manages to keep up solid work in 5 years? Probably. But right now? Absolutely not.

She's teasing the album cover through WhatsApp and her website seems to confirm that the title is going to be Vertigo.

I like the cover, but don't feel that title, Vertigo would be so much better imo.

I really like that cover! Only 11 tracks tho, Dula Peep?
I'll probably wait to pick up the vinyl until the inevitable deluxe / complete edition drops. She's 2/2 when it comes to those.

Loved the cover and the title and I also love albums with 11/12 tracks, less chances to have fillers.

I was pretty sure Optimism was the title but I like this, too. Hope they have plans to kick this era into high gear.
