Coming from a family of gospel singer, Brother-and-sister duo Benjamin "BeBe" and Priscilla "CeCe" Winans got their start as part of the singing group the PTL Singers. They eventually left and signed a deal with Sparrow Records. BeBe & CeCe saw their greatest success with their third Sparrow album, Different Lifestyles. That album's first single, "Addictive Love", was their first to top the R&B chart, and helped push Different Lifestyles to #1 on the Gospel and R&B Albums chart.

Born in The Bronx, Christopher Williams scored his biggest R&B hit and signature song with this tune from the soundtrack to New Jack City, which he starred in alongside Ice-T and Wesley Snipes.

Throughout the 2000s, Chris starred in many plays including A Good Man Is Hard To Find and Men Cry In The Dark. He's been romantically linked to Stacey Dash, with whom he has a son, and Halle Berry. It was heavily rumored that Chris was the one who hit Halle so hard that she lost hearing in her right ear, but he's denied those rumors and even pointed the finger at Wesley Snipes.

Fun fact: Chris is the nephew of Ella Fitzgerald.

First recorded by G.C. Cameron in 1975 for the movie Cooley High, "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" was the second release from Boyz II Men's debut album Cooleyhighharmony. It was their first song to top the R&B chart and also reached the Top 5 on the Hot 100.

The music video pays tribute to Jim Henson, Gilda Radner, and Sammy Davis Jr.

While the album version is a cappella, the single version is not.
