I don't disagree with you. My point is, while all 4 are in very different places in their careers, I think they're each at a critical point where their next album cycle will tell us a lot about future success.

The same couldn't be said for more consistent stars like Drake or Ariana imo. I definitely think the lack of a big established fanbase is a big reason why.

4. Bounce Back (6/10) Big Sean is a super underrated rapper and this is one of his best (9/10)
5. Paris (6/10) my bias showing, but even as one of the worst songs from MDNO, this song is still a (9/10)
6. Bad And Boujee (5/10) one of, if not the best, rap songs to go number one in the past 10 years (9.5/10)
7. Closer (4/10) the greatest song of all time (11/10)
8. Shape Of You (3/10) so overplayed, but overplayed for a reason (8/10)
9. I Don't Wanna Live Forever (2/10) I wish Taylor would do a song like this again, and Zayn at his best (9/10)
10. Tunnel Vision (1/10) Honestly the worst song in the top 10, but still holds up really well 5 years later (6/10)

Right? People out here giving 9.1s to songs and saying they’re just okay while anything they just below 7.5 is terrible. Sometimes other people”/ ratings confuse me. Then I give a song 3/5 with the intention of it being a decently good score and I feel like a monster.

Yeah. For me it’s all relative. Giving every song 4 or more out of 5 means I can’t really distinguish between songs I enjoy a lot and ones that I think are next level. There’s no distinction - and they can’t all be amazing. For me, 5/5 is rare and to be used sparingly. 4.5 would be for excellent songs/albums that, again, wouldn’t be common. To me, a 3-3.5/5 is still a great score, and probably what I’d give out the most to songs I liked.
