I’m glad we got the deluxe edition because 4 of the 5 new tracks really elevate the album for me. If the album contained my first 11 ranks plus 2-4 other songs of equal quality, I would have enjoyed the album a lot more than the actual standard edition.

Sad to see denim & rhinestones low on people’s lists. That song is an absolute bop & the best way to start the album imo. I actually get in a happy mood when it begins, maybe because it’s such an upbeat song

My meh rankings of Faster, Denim and Rhinestones, and Wanted Woman are largely because that's a sound of music (80s/early 90s pop???) that I'm just not really interested in, regardless of the artist.
As previously mentioned (probably too many times - sorry!) I love it when Carrie leans into her country sound. But I'm all here for pop-leaning music when it sounds like a Carrie Underwood song. "Chaser," "Damage," and "Ghost Story" are examples of pop-leaning songs that just seem so distinctly Carrie.
IMO, any artist could have cut Faster, WW, and - to a lesser extent - D&R.

I was going to post yesterday that I bet he spoke about the collab out of turn, in that he probably wasn’t supposed to say anything about it so soon… not that it’s end all be all in this situation, but if they were ever hoping for the element of surprise with this one, that is all but spoiled now. And we know how secretive Carrie is with her upcoming work… I don’t think one would call Carrie to record a song if they didn’t intend on releasing it at some point.

Yeah Cody spoke to soon about it lol. Now his team is trying to try to keep a surprise factor about it. I wasn't expecting it to be on Part 1 of Leather, after he released The Painter as the lead single. I really think that the duet will be one they go all out with, so I'm expecting it to be the lead single to Part 2 Leather.

This performance really was special. Not just the vocal, but also the whole presentation is pretty different for a Carrie performance. Beautiful! I think everyone needs to take a breath, recalibrate their sarcasm meter (and not be so damn defensive) and realize that zaclord 🌈 was obviously joking here. I think maybe we're just struggling to get exactly what's supposed to be...funny? Is it a dig at Allegiant airlines or something? Allegiant owns naming rights to the Las Vegas Stadium. So...I actually think this is a pretty big get for Carrie because it's a national ad which shows further synergy between herself, the NFL, and Las Vegas. |

Allegiant is a low budget airline. That was the joke. I’ve flown from NC to FL for less than $40 round trip on planes where the AC didn’t work. I’m surprised Carrie agreed to be associated with a low budget travel brand, but obviously they’re profitable if they’ve got a football stadium so get that coin, girl.
