I'm hoping that she leaves the whole rocker girl thing behind and that she largely got it out of her system with D&R but I have a feeling whoever said we're getting a rock album from Carrie next is probably on the right track. I wouldn't hate a few rock songs or a few rock covers on an album, or even a rock EP at some point, but a whole album era being devoted to rock music which isn't my favorite genre from Carrie doesn't sound super appealing to me.

I think I read somewhere that was brought up to her, but she said a rock album isn’t in the cards at the moment. I don’t know where I remember seeing it though.

Truly struggling to see why she went to the trouble of putting out a Deluxe edition of D&R. At the end of the day, it's done what it's going to do, which unfortunately makes it her lowest selling and lowest impact album. Maybe they should have packaged the new songs into an EP with some other title. Or simply held them for another project. I don't know really. Guess I'm just grasping at straws. In any event, maybe OOTT catches on. Maybe it doesn't. Maybe she puts out one more single. Maybe she doesn't. Truth be told, the ship has pretty much sailed on this album. I'm hoping for a different overall direction for her next project. I still love her, but I hardly ever revisit D&R at this point. I find myself cherry picking singles from previous albums. I guess it's hard to be drunk on current projects like D&R when I'm hungover for sonic masterpieces like "Low," "Someday When I Stop Loving You" and "Wine After Whiskey" from days gone by.

Do we know if Carrie is attending the People’s Choice Country Awards tonight? If not, I’m hoping she still won and recorded an acceptance speech!!

Do we know if Carrie is attending the People’s Choice Country Awards tonight? If not, I’m hoping she still won and recorded an acceptance speech!! Not a word about it, so she probably won’t be there. The results aren’t based totally on fan votes, according to their fine print. Nevertheless, I’d go with the list of performers ALSO being many of the winners.

I really hope we get one. If we don't I'd be the first time she never did a music video to one of her singles.

The tour ended almost seven months ago and unless she is in the studio right now creating the next album, she should have enough time to film a music video.

Why bother at this point? It's nothing more than a gift for the fans.

Okay I think it's time we change the title to CARRIE UNDERWOOD - SHE DON'T KNOW (LIVE AT THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR).

finally listened to the deluxe album all the way through. I thought garden was a great closing song for the standard edition but once the deluxe songs hit, they hit hard. I love the entire album, though I can understand why people hold the extra songs highly. They have a different feel but still complement the original songs.

I think I'm always surprised when fans love her previous work more. I love it too, but sometimes her older material felt more like performance songs, and her newer work, to me, seems like songs I listen to more. I do love the deluxe songs a lot. I think I would have felt the same if Burn, Velvet, HMH would have been deluxe tracks, but I REALLY love the new ballads, OOTT and Damage. I think she's making some of her best music.

Completely agree with you. I love her older albums but I think I gravitate toward storyteller & her capitol work more because to me, she has a better understanding what she wants each album to be.

Carrie has never really been strictly country. Even going back to her first album, the title track, has almost zero country elements in it. For all the people that say they wish she would release a full-fledged country album, I just don't think it's going to happen. As much as she says that country music is where her heart belongs, her music has always had a pop element. I think she will always be in the country pop lane at least until she's a lot older. I personally love the style of music she makes and I know it's an unpopular opinion to like 'Cry Pretty' but I would be happy if she continued the sound from that era. Agreed 100%. Although I'd be surprised if she didn't release an album that leans at least into the Carly Pearce realm of country at some point in her career. I think it would actually be an effective marketing tactic ("my countriest album yet"), plus she'd crush it. I feel like Cry Pretty was Carrie's most authentic album and I enjoyed it immensely. I'd be happy for her to continue building off Storyteller and Cry Pretty, which I thought were super consistent efforts (much more so than PO and BA, even if BA had higher highs). The deluxe tracks sound more like songs from those eras than D&R, IMO (with some D&R production flairs). Very curious to hear what direction she'll take for Era No 8! Yeah undoubtedly Carrie could crush a genuinely traditional country album but I just don't think it is on the agenda in near future.maybe never. I agree that CP and DR are her most personal releases, the albums that is very Carrie. I think the era no 8 would probably be similar to D&R.

Didn't mean to sound shady if it came across that way. It’s not even that I’m busy (I am quite often), it’s the fact that Pulse has become schizophrenic with her constant server issues. That’s the main reason I’m so far behind on my rankdown hosting

Typo boo which Grammys is that from or is it photoshopped. It's from the 2024 Grammy's. Where the queen won Album of the Year for her iconic Denim & Rhinestones. In all honesty, it's from a twitter page that was trying out some AI pictures with Carrie. Here's what they came up with for an "Out of That Truck" music video, which I appreciate because I'm not sure we will get one at this point. I'm literally obsessed with the first picture.

I'm going to try to list them. I feel like some change positions, particularly the first two go back and forth a lot. The songs having been out a bit I feel like I can make a more honest list now, and not just favoring what's new, even though it may appear that way lol
1. Give Her That 2. Drunk & Hungover 3. Out of That Truck 4. Velvet Heartbreak 5. Burn 6. Damage 7. Hate My Heart 8. Take Me Out 9. Crazy Angels 10. Pink Champagne 11. Ghost Story 12. She Don't Know 13. Denim & Rhinestones 14. Wanted Woman 15. Garden 16. Poor Everybody Else 17. Faster
I didn't include the live version since it's the same song. I love live Carrie though, as good or better than the recording.
