"Denim and Rhinestones" would be a kick ass album title. It lends itself perfectly for an album full of big stadium songs.

I think that Bakersfield / Dwight Yoakam country-rock sound may be a big influence on this album. Makes total sense with a title like Denim & Rhinestones.

I’m really hoping radio embraces Carrie this go around. The CP era was a letdown in that regard, but I’m hopeful she can get a solid hit or two with this album. A career-hit would be even better, it’s been ten years since Carrie’s last solo megahit, “Blown Away”. I have high hopes for this album in terms of quality and artistry, but I’m also hopeful for a solid chart performance overall. So excited for this, it’s been four years since the last one!

The "I Don't Need the Moon" cowrite and that one tweet that said it was the planned 3/18 release makes sense after Carrie's "I don't need wings to fly" caption alongside the ACM performance pics of her in the Moon-like set-piece she descended from the rafters from.

Feeling confident that's the song coming out.

I know people really like the Love Junkies, but hoping it's not a love song myself. I'll be thrilled with most anything regardless.

While we (not so) patiently wait til friday morning to arrive, its fun to speculate a little. Will this JUST be the single release with more to follow on a later date? Or will it be the whole shebang…. Single, video, aaaand album announcement?? I don’t think there will be a tour announcement yet, i’m sure she will want the april/may vegas shows to finish first. I do wonder if she will want to tour this year or wait til 2023 for a full scale tour. I have my doubts we will know that right away, but the other things i mentioned….i sure hope we get all the tea! On the other end of the spectrum, i am kinda worried we may have to sit through 2 single releases before an album, as that has become much more common in recent years. I hope that part is wrong obviously.

Speaking of vegas, so glad i held out til this upcoming run of shows! Vegas is way better this time of year than december. Even more excited now to see her on April 1st if thats possible…Only 18 days away for me! 🙌

Even though I’d personally rather have a new album ASAP. I think there would be a lot of good reasons on holding off the album right until the lead single is peaking, and have the second single come out right around the album release or soon after.

1) If she waits till around August when this is probably peaking (unless it flies up the chart like IIDLY), then it will put more space between her and Maren/ Miranda, so she could have more of the spotlight on her rather than sharing it, since they both have albums due relatively soon.
2) Since chart runs are starting to be long, this will help her be able to release more singles from the album, while the album is still pretty young to the public.
