Saw Carrie in Vegas tonight (3rd Vegas show and 10th Carrie concert!) and omgggg how does she sound better every single time?! Like what the heck! Wasted, Blown Away, HGTA, Cry Pretty, SITW, etc. etc. etc. Absolute perfection! After the crazy note at the end of Cry Pretty, she said “I never know how that note is gonna play out..your guess is as good as mine.” I think that’s her way of trying to humanize herself because we all know she hits the note every time lol
She also mentioned that today was exactly 19 years since she won Idol! So crazy!
The crowd was in awe too. On the way out someone behind me told her friend “absolutely phenomenal show! I’m swerious. Best one I’ve seen here! Makes me want to listen to more of her stuff.” Let’s goooooooo
Ahhh it was amazing!! I’d say best concert ever but on my birthday in December I got to be in the front row and got a selfie with Carrie lol

I was seven when she won. My parents only listened to country radio when I was growing up so I was introduced to Carrie pretty much as soon as her first single came out. And I have followed her career ever since.

I was 11. Had just moved from my moms to my dads due to some unfortunate circumstances. Carrie helped me get through that, seeing her every week on Idol. Not happy memories per se but happy to have stuck around all this time. <3

Caught Carrie and Shania on back to back night in Vegas last week and they were both fantastic. Tbh I have been disinterested in live music in general the last decade or so and CU’s career direction and literally haven’t seen her since the Play On tour (seen maybe four non-CU concerts total in that time), but now I want to go back in October before Reflection ends and hopefully see Carrie and Adele back to back next time. Vocals crystal clear and on point, a great entertaining show all around. And how cute was she doing the choreography in “Denims and Rhinestones?” I appreciate that she’ll try go a little out of her comfort zone to change things up for herself and the fans. Obviously she’s never going to be the best dancer/aerialist/pianist/guitarist/drummer/harmonica player or whatever, but it’s fun and interesting to see her play around with people’s expectations of her as “just” a singer.

I did the same thing back in December of 2021!! Found myself underwhelmed by Shania’s show, but we saw her after Carrie - where we all left blown away (hehe). It was a cool experience seeing the two females who shaped my music tastes over the course of my life back to back. I hope to make it back there for Carrie’s final string of shows (whenever that may be), and I’m un-optimistically hoping Reba will have a residency then, so I can complete my goal of seeing my top three favorites in Vegas. ETA: I was 13 when she won, end of 7th grade. At my most awkward and clueless stage in life… it’s crazy to think back on those early days, when I had my mom drive me to the mall so I could go to FYE for the “Inside Your Heaven” single. When SH came out and Carrie was truly all the rage for a few years right out of the Idol gates… fun times! And the excitement of it all definitely helped me through the most difficult times of my childhood. Now we’re in year 20. Mind blowing. |

Some hearts: Jesus Take The Wheel
Carnival Ride: So Small
Play on: Cowboy Casanova
Blown Away: Wine after whiskey
Storyteller: Church bells
Cry Pretty: Ghosts on the stereo
D&R: Drunk and Hungover
3/7 songs are songs she still performs regularly and will likely always be in her concert setlist lol. I cannot. The only song that was a single that was acceptable was SS since it’s a rarity, but the others… lol. We could’ve heard Relapse, Chaser, or Choctaw and Church bells won the vote?

Not all my choices, but I'd guess: SH - Lessons Learned (or Starts With Goodbye, That's Where It Is) CR - You Won't Find This PO - Someday When I Stop Loving You ST - Chaser Will admit watching the performance of “So Small” made me feel nostalgic af. Wonder if we’ll ever get a performance of “Damage”. |

Happy 2nd anniversary to my favorite Carrie album! 💜
It came out during the happiest period of my life and I will always look at it with fondness for that reason, if nothing else. Around the time it came out I remember I was pretty much living “Faster”... FFW to a little less than a year after its release, though, and I wound up living “Burn,” instead. 🙁
Aaaaanyway, I adore the album to pieces -beginning to end- and still listen to it often. I can’t for the life of me understand why it wasn’t bigger. It had everything.

I’m seeing the BHC performance everywhere! All over Tik tok, social, and lots of articles about her/it.
She’s making more noise at a SC Festival than majority of the artists did at CMA Fest. LOL. Queen Carrie we don’t deserve you.
