^ TBC is the better song, but I prefer GG live though.
Totally agree about AAG! Missed seeing that one.

She could have made "AAG" fit the 80s theme by combining it in a medley with Tom Petty's 80s hit "Free Fallin." Just saying. (Actually she could have done that with "Good Girl," too, by using the opening line "She's a good girl..." as a transition ha.)

I doubt it will ever make a comeback but I wouldn't be against hearing "Don't Forget to Remember Me" live again.

^ I think it'll be in a medley of songs down the road. I really wish she would start doing what Taylor does and puts a rotating song in the tour. She has 43 tour dates this time, that would give her 43 different old singles/fan favorite album tracks that she could dust off.
It beyond irks me that she acts like So Small doesn't exist, the last tour that one was on was the Play On tour, yet remains one of her most loved songs within the fandom. I see fans asking for it to be in the setlist constantly on twitter. She even promoed it when Cry Pretty Tour's adds were circulating, which makes me believe that it was originally going to be in the setlist, yet didn't end up making it.

Fans sang all the hits the entire show. Greenville was insanely loud. It was an awesome show, and its understandable why she'd play her hits for that reason. Eight from the new album is a pretty good number. I get some are bummed their fave didn't make the list. I mean...any song she sings at a concert is going to be sang along with. Concerts are generally loud places regardless of the setlist or artist.

Not a big fan of Carrie but when was the last time she sang All American Girl? That seemed like a big hit back in the day. It was part of reflection in vegas. Last time on tour was storyteller in 16. She also played it at her random festival appearances as well. Or at least TC summer Jam 2021 she did so i assume other ones too. She usually doesn’t change that up until she is in between eras.

Love this arrangement of "Blown Away" and hearing the crowd sing along like that is giving me chills. A CLASSIC.
Q: What did you learn as a performer in Vegas that you were able to translate into a touring production? A: I’ve always enjoyed the idea of having a show versus just playing a concert. I love having lots of production elements that make things feel unique and songs feel extra special. The Vegas show took that to a new level, since we have aerialists. We’ll be back (there) next year.

Y’all…this tour. THIS TOUR. Experience of my life. Best show ever. Hearing her voice in the same room, being mere feet away from her, after six years of trying to see her live, was an overwhelming thing. 100% seeing her again and again and again. Entertainer of the Eternity. I’ll talk more about it later and give my two cents on the whole thing tomorrow. For now, I have to go to bed, and soak this all in.

Anyone here who’s seen her D&R show vs Reflection have any comparative notes? May have to choose between these two tours if she doesn’t add any Europe dates and I’m wondering your input. I’ve seen her many times but not since the Storyteller tour unfortunately.

^ I miss the BA glory note too, but I'm wondering if she's doing it to save her voice. That's my biggest fear is that someday she will damage it like Martina did.
Really all she needed to do to get the album connecting was to tour lol. It's been performing MILES better on iTunes since the tour started.

I mean even if she is doing it to save her voice, they're a lot of other vocally demanding songs in her discography that she is still performing difficult notes for. I also worry that she might go down a Martina every one day but I hope that not to be the case.

If one things for certain I do not get why random journalists and smaller artists always seem to go out of their way to shade Carrie. Checked Twitter and Margo Price is liking petty tweets insinuating Carrie copied her by playing the drums, and that Carrie sucked at it, but out of the same mouth this woman, and other women in the business, are saying not to tear other women down. I guess when you've made as much a mark as Carrie has there is jealousy, but I simply do not get it. Literally a month or two ago we had some random woman that worked for The Boot unnecessarily dogging her as well (not being critical, just being rude.)
I get fans and random people on Twitter having behavior like this, but people that are supposed to be professionals? Weird.

^^^ It’s so odd too because Carrie really stays out of the drama. She has never said a bad thing about anyone else. Truly a class act.
She really crafted a timeless statement with Garden. “If you reap what you sow, what kind of garden would you grow?”

I’ve learned more about Carrie from reading her book, covering everything from her personality to her voice. She seems like the sweetest & most sincere person. Doesn’t like judging anyone & stays away from public forums based off her American Idol days. She’s very self-aware too about her status but also self-reliant. About her voice, she says her exercise workouts help not only with a beautiful/strong body but also maintaining her vocals, breathing & wearing heels for long tour shows.

Ok review time! Like I said last night, this is hands down the best show I’ve ever seen—and I’ve even seen my other absolute fav twice this year. Carrie’s voice is in its peak and it’s different hearing her live versus hearing her live in person. So entirely different. No matter how loud we were, you could still hear her as she wailed out those glory notes (same can’t always be said for TV and other videos I feel like) and they were AMAZING. And the VISUALS… daddy you were asking about Reflection vs. D&R…I didn’t go to Reflection but from what I’ve seen of that show, I can say she brought as much of Vegas as was logistically possible to this tour. It truly was a spectacle. That PC edging is my ONE complaint. I was hoping to hear that live, and that intro was so promising only to curveball right into “Good Girl.” Didn’t even flow right imo. Aside from that, it was a perfect set. (When IIDLY came on, it felt ironic due to a certain someone being a trash can and a heavy topic on Pulse Country the last little bit, lol.) “Burn” was SUCH a treat to hear. I’m so happy she did that one; and the little “diamond of fire” thing she had going on was so cool. D&R was such a cute moment with Jimmie Allen too! (Who by the way, I think has a TON of stage presence. He had a lot of charisma that made for a fun opening set.) The aerials during GS and particularly CA were AWESOME. Queen of acrobatics! And queen of percussion too; “Poor Everybody Else” was ICONIC. That drum slayage ended careers. But the moment that has been in my head the most, aside from that “Church Bells” MOMENT, was when she did “Welcome to the Jungle.” She brought the house DOWN and sang the HELL out of that one. One of the biggest highlights of the show. If you haven’t got a ticket, you should change that ASAP. This is her best tour by a mile.

She really crafted a timeless statement with Garden. “If you reap what you sow, what kind of garden would you grow?” It's because she's so good, kind and beautiful. People like that are usually targets. One thing I love about Carrie is that she's always above the drama, she never responds but she tends to bring it out in her songs (both her revenge songs and songs about faith). I think she's such a great role model. Real, authentic, kind and sincere.

Margo insults conservatives like John Rich all of the time on her social media, so I'd bet it has to do with politics (not saying it's right or wrong, just speculating as to why).

I'm being serious when I say things like this should be taken into account for EOTY: She works out - and does specific workouts - with touring in mind.

I just found out yesterday that I didn’t win the meet & greet contest through the fan club, so kinda bummed, but I am so excited to see her on Tuesday in Minneapolis. Sounds like I’m in for a masterpiece!

Really all she needed to do to get the album connecting was to tour lol. It's been performing MILES better on iTunes since the tour started. The big note in Blown Away is actually a very standard and recurrent note in her catalog of hits. The sequence is just C5-D5-B4. Very basic for her in terms of where her comfortable range sits. She belts higher notes in most of her songs. I'm not sure why she would choose to cut corners there in the interest of preserving her voice, but then add even higher sustained notes in other songs? There would just be no logic in doing that. And the note in BA is such a signature and iconic part of the song, and always gets a huge reaction from the crowd any time she does it. I wish she would bring it back.
