You can tell it's a Denim And Rhinestones reject. Solid but weaker than everything except Hate My Heart. I'm gonna guess desertfloods is right and it's a 40th birthday thing.

This covered the theme that Ghost Story attempted to do so much better. So much more instant than this one and SHE WROTE THIS. Team CU/ UMG has got to start being better about picking singles.

Meaning it's about him missing her. Her memory haunting him. Pickup is about her missing him and wondering who's with him. Lydia Vaughan wrote on both of them. |

I am not sure how well OOTT would do as a single, as I think there are still better single potentials on the album. BUT.... I definitely prefer it over HMH.
It might work. A fun, relatable mid-tempo that isn't that common coming from Carrie.

In the meantime though let’s get Carrie that VOTY win for HMH (and Female Video for GS)!!! lol this era is becoming quite chaotic and all over the place (is SDK still showing up in New Music playlists?) but I’m here for it 😂
Also, the Carrie concert tonight was fire!!! Definitely the best one yet. Idk how she outdoes herself every single time.

She brought out Axl at her LA show last night! Love the camaraderie they’ve built. Also:
In addition to Axl, it’s fun to see how much goodwill she’s developed throughout her career. Rickey Minor went to her show after directing the music for the Oscars less than 24 hours prior.

For those who have been to her concert -- Jimmy goes on at 7:30... what time does Carrie go on? His set was around 30-45 minutes or so I believe; and then a 30 minute intermission followed before she came on. So it was around 8:30-8:45 for me. |

Must’ve been stuff going on behind the scenes. Guess Carrie got a jump on it all cause a lot of the og artists followed her suit after she left. Brad, Kenny, Jake Owen, now Miranda all left.

I thought HMH was a great choice, but I think it would’ve connected by now if it was ever going to… If the label wanted they could push it pretty close to the top, but I’m starting to feel like moving on and using the CMTs as a platform for something new would be smart… with the tour ending only two singles in, there’s gotta be a little something more up their sleeves to stretch into awards season, I’d think.. |

Add me to the "Out of This Truck" single bandwagon. It's grown on me so much since its release and I think it could be a pretty decent hit for Carrie. I think we'll get a deluxe announcement once the tour wraps and HOPEFULLY some international (Europe) dates!
