I mean…it’s just laughable that some people still don’t understand how she’s the biggest & most important current global ambassador for the genre at this point. Nobody else in the game is doing what she’s doing, at the level of what she’s doing. It’s just that f**king simple. She is in another echelon.

i gotta say, that was hands down one of the best sets i’ve ever seen her (or anybody else for that matter) put on. top to bottom, solid show. A+.

So obviously the vocals, energy, and production value were insane, but I think what really put the show over the top was all of the quirks. For instance, when she grabbed the megaphone and shouted “This is your captain reporting for duty,” and the banter about being decked out in rhinestones, or when she put her hands together as if she was praying during “Crazy Angels” and then smirked. I could go on and on and on. This was a performer at the top of their game and cherishing every second of it.

Yeah that was so worth staying up for! Honestly not even really that tired right now. Hopefully this will live on the net beyond this weekend so we can rewatch that anytime.

So, who’s next for rock stars she can bring to one of these types of shows and duet with? My hope is for Bon Jovi or Def Leppard.

Carrie having her Coachella Beyonce moment. Loved it and hate to bring it up but I’m mad she was having mic issues during CMT Church Bells, Ghost Story and it sounded like even during parts of the Axl duet.

I'm watching it now and there were times where I thought they should have turned up her mic (even the backup one was quiet) but overall I am loving it. I was kinda hoping she would sneak in a song from the new album we haven't heard yet but I'll take what we got. Surprised about the lack of "Before He Cheats" though.

What a freakin' STAR she is!

It was the perfect Carrie Underwood concert (minus the unfortunate technical issues). The whole set just flew by. Can hardly take my eyes off her, it's insane how good she has become as a performer!

Church Bells should always be a staple in her setlist.
Likewise for Wasted and Flat on the Floor.

The live performances tipped Crazy Angels over D&R for me. It's so much fun live!

So, American Idol is advertising a 20 year anniversary show for tomorrow night. They are saying Randy, Paula, and “tons” of former idol stars will be part if the show. Unless she left for Nashville right after stagecoach last night, she’s still in California. Would make sense that she might be there…. I haven’t seen that they have formally announced any specific former contestants though.

GG video was FABULOUS. I remember rewatching that so many times when it came out. As was Dirty Laundry and Two Black Cadillacs. Heck, I am even happier with See You Again and Southbound video than this.

I feel as if there is no one around her who tells her honestly that the music videos aren't good. Glamour shots are not music videos. It's such a waste of promo opportunity and money.

Funnily enough I miss Mark Bright a bit. Does he need to collab on her entire album? No, but he brought out something in Carrie's vocals that I miss and I wish he could at least do a few songs on a future album.

You’re telling me you don’t think the production on BA, TBC, CBs, SITW, etc wasn’t phenomenal? I mean he’s responsible for all the songs that made her career what it is.

The fact he was able to evolve his sounds from when she first launched to when she stopped working with him in 2015, to match her is great.

Obviously Mark Bright is an accomplished producer and established the signature Carrie sound, but I think his sonic palette is just too limited for Carrie at this stage. Actually I’d say for basically anybody which is why he’s no longer producing anyone of note.

Also I think Carrie played a much bigger role in the production of those cinematic songs. I remember she said that she sent “Blown Away” back to Mark multiple times because she didn’t think it was grand enough.

OK, I am watching her set right now and was going to wait until the end to comment, but I am about to CRY watching her sing HGTA complete with a gospel choir. OMG. She is incredible and this arrangement is NEXT LEVEL.
