With all the production value on everything this album era so far, there has to be a summer stadium show run coming, right? Right?!

Watching again. I think Crazy Angels is a HIT. I honestly didn't get its appeal until she performed it live. Now I'm 100% sold!

Ok, I just finished her set. I've seen Carrie 3 times on tour (Carnival Ride, Play On, Storyteller tours) and once in Vegas, the latter of which I thought was her best show yet. This is by far the best I've seen her perform: The arrangements, the swagger on stage, the transitions and of course the VOCALS were out of this world. I honestly think the Vegas residency helped her reach the next level.
It's crazy to think about her early days of being essentially a singing stick on stage with an amazing voice but no stage presence. There's no doubt she is the best performer in country music today.

I know it was only the beginning of the set but she seemed so out of breath singing "Last Name" but then the rest of the show her vocals kept getting better and better. Her stamina is out of this world.

So yesterday I was in my best friend’s wedding, admittedly I had no intention to watch, nor did I know Carrie’s Stagecoach set was last night. I’ve been super busy, so when I got to my hotel room and got the notification that her set was starting, I streamed it on the hotel TV in my room. After the high of an amazing wedding where all my best friends were together, to then come back to watch an iconic two-hour Carrie Underwood set that I didn’t plan on seeing (in that moment), I’m just elated. What a night it was all around!
It feels like Carrie is continually competing with herself and it’s just so inspiring. Like, she just cannot stop getting better. I have to wonder if there’s a part of her that’s driven by CMA’s EOTY injustices - the better she gets, the stupider they look every time they call someone else’s name for the award. We know she’s competitive, and I just wonder if that’s something that drives her to this day.
Anyway, I’m on cloud 9 right now. What a night!!! Thank you, Carrie!!

The production value was top notch, and the set list (especially the sequencing) was impeccable. My only issue with it is the same issue I have with most of this type of performance; it requires near-shouting from the singer, and that just isn't pleasing to my ears the same way a more intimate setting and vocal would be. She definitely had the time of her life performing with Axl Rose.

I can’t think of another artist whose grown so much as a performer during their career. Her stamina is incredible and definitely allows her to perform the way she does. I love that she seems to be growing increasingly more confident in her abilities and have so much fun performing. She’s an absolute, one of a kind, queen. #CARRIECOACH

It amazes me how she was so shy during that Bobby Bones interview a few weeks ago and then she pulls out this confidence during Stagecoach. She is unreal.

So, American Idol is advertising a 20 year anniversary show for tomorrow night. They are saying Randy, Paula, and “tons” of former idol stars will be part if the show. Unless she left for Nashville right after stagecoach last night, she’s still in California. Would make sense that she might be there…. I haven’t seen that they have formally announced any specific former contestants though. The special was taped a month or so ago.

I’ve mentioned this recently in this thread but watching her Carriecoach set reiterates how incredible it is that such a shy person just completely comes alive on stage. Even when she wasn’t singing for much of Sweet Child/Paradise City, I couldn’t stop watching her. Her stage presence is huge. She’s definitely meant to be doing this. It’s such a joy as a long time fan to see her continue to push herself and develop in her career.

Damn, she slayed so casually and naturally throughout the entire set. You could tell she was getting extremely irritated with the sound issues though, enough so for her to call it out lol.

Her energy and stamina is literally off the mortal charts, from both a physical and vocal standpoint, verging on damn near bionic. No male (or female, for that matter) in the country genre is coming even remotely close to her on either front, but it's cute that Mr. Combs would like to convince his fans and himself that he's got it like that lol.

I didn't read it that way from Luke. I really don't think it was a shot at Carrie either. I think they were just asking how he was going to top an amazing show from the night before. He just said he was gonna rock your face off. I guess, ideally, he could have said something like, "don't think I can top that performance, but I guess I can try," or something like that. But I don't think there was any ill-will here. With that said, I don't think he came close to topping her but again, I think it's only a slight if you want it to be a slight.

But I don't think there was any ill-will here. I actually agree with this, and it echoes pretty much exactly what I thought upon re-reading his response just after I had posted my reply. It could read as though he elected to not dignify the part about Carrie at all, and was namely responding to the question of "What are you going to do at Stagecoach tonight," which is why he made it a point to restate the bit that he was directly answering at the end.

Can we get some official video uploaded? She was trending on Twitter yesterday and the Axl Rose collaboration has got a lot of media coverage.

Oh, I have no doubt we'll get an official performance video.
After the hype has died down and Stagecoach was a month ago. :kii:

They include Ruben Studdard, Jordin Sparks, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, David Cook, Kris Allen, Laine Hardy, Laci Kaye Booth, Maddie Poppe, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Willie Spence and Grace Kinstler.

Most of the alums they have are not even close to the biggest stars to come from the show. I guess it really shows how much American Idol has declined at this point.
