A lot of people feel that way. That was one of the few eras where they picked all the correct singles, picked the correct ordering of the singles, and gave each song a innovative video. Ok, I’ve let the album marinate and now I am ready to give out my track rankings. First of all, this album is very easy on the ears and I love the different vocal ranges that Carrie is showcasing, specially her lower register. Is this her best album ever? No, but I do think there is plenty of material on this album for Carrie to be as successful as possible for a 39 year old female on country radio. This album was definitely made with the tour in mind, something that Carrie has said in several interviews, so those of us who have tickets are going to be in for a real treat.

Just got lucky at my local Walmart, by pure happenstance. Only CD copy they had in the entire building, left haphazardly with the display of the latest vinyl releases. Moral of the story is go to your local stores/retailers and pray!

agreed whoever took over carriefans ruined it pretty much. i still log in here and there but the ads are super annoying and a huge turnoff so i def dont go in there as much as i did a few years ago.

Wanted Woman, Burn, Faster, and Pink Champagne are my immediate favorites.

It’s a very laidback album. Not sure if it has the classic / memorable highs of her previous albums but there’s enough that I can imagine this being an album for the sing-a-long nostalgia years down the road.

I still cannot rank the songs because they all are sooo goood. But Faster stands out the most for me. When the chorus starts (‘You make my heart beat faster’), my heart melts. The way she sings it, i can feel the love.

I know the topic has been beat to death by now but I'm still surprised there are no major publication reviews. Now that it seems stores are getting some stock, it just makes me wonder what's going on.

Anyway, "Burn" is starting to grow on me. It remains my least favorite so far however it was stuck in my head this morning lol.

The album wasn’t provided to the press in advance. I don’t think it’s a big deal tbh. Nobody is buying a Carrie Underwood because of critical clout.

"Hate My Heart," "Faster," and "Wanted Woman" are my favorites at first listen. "Ghost Story" is really well-written, and "Crazy Angels" remains a bop.

I love her older stuff too, but it's cool to see her round out her discography with a lighter, breezier album. Perfect for my beach visit this past weekend.

This will probably end up her most critically acclaimed album, the reviews have been great so far! I still don’t think I’d be upset with any of these songs as singles... In fact, my least favorite single choice is “Ghost Story”, but I’m not even mad at it. It still makes a great single…

Elated with this record, truly.

“Faster” is in the lead for most plays and probably my favorite track so far; followed by “Pink Champagne”, “Velvet Heartbreak”, “Hate My Heart”, “Crazy Angels”, “Garden”, “Poor Everybody Else”, “Denim & Rhinestones”, “She Don’t Know”, “Wanted Woman”, “Burn”, and “Ghost Story”.

But even the songs lower on my list are single-worthy jams, this album is a game changer and I hope it gets the attention it deserves!

I’ve been thinking the album would probably perform closer to Storyteller in terms of reviews. In their new music preview last week, the AP stated the following: “Carrie Underwood seems to be aiming for that sweet spot between country and pop with her new album out Friday, “Denim & Rhinestones.” The title track is a perfect mix of genres.”

It’s so hard to decide which of her last three albums is her best. To me, they’re all equal in consistency, and all such strong collective efforts. Ugh.

Maybe I love Spinning Bottles and Backsliding too much, but I also feel like I absolute adore the title track, Faster and Garden.

I just listened to it yesterday once, while driving around running some errands. It's solid, and I love the sound she went for. It didn't grab me completely on first listen as their albums usually do, but I guess it'll eventually grow on me after a more focused listening session. She sounds amazing (no surprise) and She Don't Know is the highlight for me, hands down, it's probably in the Top 10 Carrie's songs for me after that first listen, it HAS TO be a single.

I’m sadly guessing pretty low. Ghost Story hasn’t been a hit and sales are just so bad right now. That plus the streaming numbers seem nonexistent.
