Maybe since Miley is away from RCA she might she spins.Β
Or maybe not since itβs a live album.

Idk.. highly doubt Becky would do an English verse if it's with another reggaeton act no more Nicki stuff Cardi I could see working, they've worked with each other before and have good chemistry

Denzel's new album is getting massive acclaim, and since he's not a nobody in hip-hop, I could see word of mouth giving a song or two of his a chance to chart. My bet would be on Walkin/Troubles/Ain't No Way/X-Wing

What has caused the collapse in youtube music consumption? Most hits from the 2013-2019 era have more than 1 billion views (some way more). But since 2020, the top US hits can barely hit the 400-500 million mark.

kWorb radio finally updated on time for the first time since the time change. Permanent daylight savings time here in the US will put an end to kWorb updating an hour late for a few weeks in March and November every year.

Add another one to the collection of old songs becoming hits; though it's pretty cool that a song from 2002 got revived thanks to a Disney movie.

In case anyone is curious, here's the Hot 100 top 10 for the week in which the climax of Turning Red actually takes place (May 25, 2002): 01 01 Foolish - Ashanti (6th of 10 weeks at #1) 02 03 I Need A Girl (Part One) - P. Diddy feat. Usher & Loon 03 02 What's Luv? - Fat Joe feat. Ashanti 04 04 U Don't Have To Call - Usher 05 05 A Thousand Miles - Vanessa Carlton 06 07 All You Wanted - Michelle Branch 07 06 Blurry - Puddle of Mudd 08 12 The Middle - Jimmy Eat World 09 20 Without Me - Eminem 10 08 Don't Let Me Get Me - P!nk Personally, I think this is a pretty decent top 10 overall. And for some extras from that same week... 25 17 Girlfriend - 'NSYNC feat. Nelly (highest song on the chart by a real-life boy band) 81 NE Nothin' - N.O.R.E. (made 2002 YE) 83 NE My Neck, My Back - Khia feat. DSD (didnβt make the 2002 YE, but a cult classic in hindsight) 88 NE Just A Friend 2002 - Mario (made 2002 YE... ick)

Yeah, that's a shame - while there was that Billboard "Hits of the World" chart for Canada that existed in the interim, it was only able to count songs that were released as physical singles, and as such wasn't always representative of what was truly the most popular thing at the time. So while it's entirely possible that Hero by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott was truly the biggest song in Canada for that corresponding week (and that would check out since the first Raimi Spider-Man film was released weeks earlier), it's also possible 4*TOWN opted not to release any physical singles at the time and relied entirely on massive Canadian radio support.

Denzel's new album is getting massive acclaim, and since he's not a nobody in hip-hop, I could see word of mouth giving a song or two of his a chance to chart. My bet would be on Walkin/Troubles/Ain't No Way/X-Wing If getting acclaim and having word of mouth was all it took, these rappers would have hits of their own (features dont count): JID, Denzel, Joey Bada$$, Freddie Gibbs, BROCKHAMPTON, Vince Staples, Pusha T (not counting Clipse), JPEGMAFIA, slowthai, Little Simz, Isaiah Rashad, Cordae, Injury Reserve, Benny the Butcher, Conway, Big K.R.I.T., Danny Brown, EARTHGANG, Run the Jewels, and Royce da 5"9 (on his own) I purposefully excluded rappers who don't have chart hits but have famous songs like Tyler, Chief Keef, Chance the Rapper, and Max Miller. Most rap fans have accepted that the best rappers will rarely get chart hits and that's fine.

Ima predict that Lewis capaldi and the kid laroi will have huge albums this year and shake up the charts. Two names who are new to the game and havenβt peaked yet.

My bet would be on Walkin/Troubles/Ain't No Way/X-Wing If getting acclaim and having word of mouth was all it took, these rappers would have hits of their own (features dont count): JID, Denzel, Joey Bada$$, Freddie Gibbs, BROCKHAMPTON, Vince Staples, Pusha T (not counting Clipse), JPEGMAFIA, slowthai, Little Simz, Isaiah Rashad, Cordae, Injury Reserve, Benny the Butcher, Conway, Big K.R.I.T., Danny Brown, EARTHGANG, Run the Jewels, and Royce da 5"9 (on his own) I purposefully excluded rappers who don't have chart hits but have famous songs like Tyler, Chief Keef, Chance the Rapper, and Max Miller.Β Most rap fans have accepted that the best rappers will rarely get chart hits and that's fine.Β I'm definitely not saying Denzel will be getting a hit. If anything I'm more theorising about the possibility of one or two of his songs getting enough traction in a few weeks to maybe spend a month on the charts and peak at #80, and that is something that half of the people you've mentioned would be able to do. I definitely wouldn't count JID, Vince or Pusha out of having a chance at getting a song to chart with their next projects. Simz and Thai are British, so that's a whole different story (but I believe the former was able to get commercial traction in the UK), and Cordae, Freddie & Joey are victims of bad management. Were they handled better, I definitely think that we could see them popping up on Billboard occasionally. And in Cordae's case, that isn't a done deal, because he has huge potential and I do honestly think that with the right feature and promo he could score a moderate hit

If Nobody Like U actually becomes a chart hit I will be celebrating, 2022 will be the year of animated movies being the hitmakers

Some lament the low streams of current hits as catalog tracks continue to increase, others cheer for obscure 20- and 30-year (catalog) tracks to swamp the chart.

Technically there were, they just didn't have a Hot 100. They had sales and radio charts but they're hard to find since they were only printed in defunct periodicals that were only released in Canada. (Yes I know this is technically a joke post but I just had to get pedantic for a second)

There was a radio chart somewhere which Iβm sure was more telling of what the most popular songs were. Plus the RPM chart, which has an online archive from the 70s? until maybe 2000 or so.

I feel Run The Jewels is due for a Hot 100 hit. JU$T made to #10 on Bubbling Under without the stats of first two days of album release.
