This better lead to something and not just be a non sequitur like that Adele photo. Artists cannot have photos with each other if they don't end up collabing, they are not allowed to just be friends!!1!1

He had to use Fergie to get a big solo hit though Not really relevant. A star is a star. Or are we just going to shame other acts who sample or use interpolations?

Looking at that photo of Drake and Taylor Swift, how long is it before Taylor is dropping subliminals about Drake in her next new album? Shake It Off (Taylor and Aubrey's Version)

Don't Think Jesus dropping below Heat Waves this early in the week is probably not a good sign for that top 3 debut. How's he holding up on AM? I think the Top 3 debut is on lock. It built up the lead during the first few days of release. Plus, itβs still #1 on iTunes. That said, even though Donβt Think Jesus will debut Top 3, the fact that it has now dropped below Heat Waves isnβt a good sign for its 2nd week (and longevity beyond).

Tuesday afternoon update: It's still number two on Apple Music and still has an almost 2:1 iTunes lead I think top 3 is on lock, I think it's also not impossible to edge into number two with its sales, assuming Big Energy and AA sell similarly to last week it's probably 50k sales.

I think Don't Think Jesus is a safe bet for top 3 between AM and iTunes, though if it does take another hit on Spotify I don't see it making top 2 (which is good for my prediction actually lol)

Just saying that Jack's previous single Nail Tech didn't even go top ten. I think it's REASONABLE to think that he is yet to really prove his superstar status. First Class is a hit song but several rappers have had an odd big hit here and there without becoming gigantic superstars this forum is saying Jack Harlow already is.

So are we just gonna forget that Industry Baby and Whatβs Poppin were massive hits? Sure Nail Tech (and Tyler Herro to an extent) didnβt really catch on in terms of the charts but not every song by a big or small artist becomes a hit. Thereβs songs from his last album that did pretty well on Spotify, and already has 45 million+ monthly listeners on the platform. Thatβs like saying The Kid Laroi isnβt in the process of being a gigantic superstar because of him having Stay and Without You as his only top 10 hits.

I am not behind that account even though exactly what I could say lmao This is a well-known YouTuber who covers pop music, so unless he has an account here that I didnβt know about, Iβm chalking this up to total coincidence.

Thatβs like saying The Kid Laroi isnβt in the process of being a gigantic superstar because of him having Stay and Without You as his only top 10 hits. Honestly right now, I'd say Jack has a stronger chance of longevity than Laroi. And it's not really down to talents or quality of music (though that certainly doesn't help). It's simply that Jack has a fanbase in the hip-hop community that may stick by him when the pop hits aren't there. I'm part of several music communities and while I've seen people say they like WITHOUT YOU or STAY, I haven't seen much of a fanbase for LAROI himself. He's not talented as a rapper - at least not on a technical level (and I doubt his label wants that) but he also doesn't have the charisma Juice and other emo rappers had to cultivate an audience that will relate to the lyrics. So you're left with a mediocre plant with limited skills and charisma, and lyrics and songwriting that just feel like watered down, white version of what Juice WRLD did. And I know we could point to Justin Bieber and Chris Brown as acts who have limited vocal charisma but have survived for more than a decade, but again at least they had some following and fanbase in their early years to coast by on. I mean even Maroon 5 has defenders that say they used to be a passable band.
