There’s a couple decent options left, but I do think it’s weird they’ve waited so long? They would have known Strange was dead by November and it’s March with no impact date?

She’s clearly been making new music so maybe she just feels ready to put out something new rather than waiting through another long single cycle. I think there are several songs that could do decent enough but nothing that is likely to really move the needle, so if she has new music she is excited about they may just move on.

For sure, and if anything were to even go top 20 it would be another 7-8 months 😏

I definitely expected at least a third single given that the album is still less than a year old and she's always gone *at least* 3-deep on her eras and there were still plenty of options. That said, I feel it becoming less likely as more time passes with no news. She has been teasing on social media that she's been down in Marfa, TX again with Jon & Randall, so whether that turns into another part 2 of her The Marfa Tapes side project or she's just writing for a whole new studio record, it seems like she's at least hinting at being in the process of working on something new, like marcyjames indicated. I believe a new Pistol Annies project has been rumored for sometime this year as well iirc. I'll certainly be a little surprised if we don't get another single from Palomino, but I also will gladly welcome any brand new music should she decide to move on from the era sooner. We're used to her studio projects being 2-3 years in between one another though so I wasn't exactly expecting anything *too* soon. Also, "I'll Be Lovin' You" is a cute song and would probably work for radio, but there's like a good 4 or 5 songs on the record I would've rather seen her release instead.

If we do get a third I think it will be "I'll Be Loving You," it's already put in the Apple Music playlist. I don't have much hope in anything left honestly. "Strange" felt so in the pocket, yet it flopped.

I really thought "Actin' Up" would have made a great single but maybe I'm alone in that.

“I’ll be loving you” was put in Spotify’s hot country playlist today as well.
Actin’ Up grew on me a lot. Very polarizing but I could’ve seen it having a “Little Red Wagon” moment to where even though it was polorizing, the consumer interest brought it to at least a top 20 peak.

I always loved Actin Up, I think she’ll continue opening her shows with it for a bit, so it’s kinda got a small life of its own. God Idk what they have against Waxahachie 😩

This album is stellar, so it's so disappointing to me that it hasn't been able to live up to its potential. "I'll Be Loving You" and "Waxahachie" are both still big hits waiting to happen, imo. (But then again, I thought the same thing about "Strange", so what do I know).

Add one to the Waxahachie fan club. It’s probably one of my favorite songs Miranda has ever released. I feel like it would be a sleeper hit

Yes, Waxahachie would be perfect for the summer! Her team is really overlooking it

Surprised we haven't gotten an announcement about a new record label yet. So either she's going independent or they're taking a while to sign.

I remember reading somewhere that Sony was caught off guard by the decision, so I'm assuming they weren't anticipating it. There's probably multiple labels offering Miranda various deals, so she's probably taking the time to figure out what's the best fit for her and her vision, so I'm not that surprised we haven't gotten a formal announcement.

I’m not sure I see her making an announcement until maybe after this round of Vegas shows? Idk she’s not even in Nashville, obvs it can be done but I assume she would want meetings unless her manager and lawyer are handling that for her.
That arista article yesterday about Sony now deciding to focus on story songs had some nerve 💀 Carousel, you’ll always be famous.

There was about a three month gap between Lauren parting ways with UMG to her announcement of being with Big Loud. She most definitely has a deal in the works, just not officially announced.

Actually Sony knew she was leaving/not intending to re-sign with them according to the article you're referring to, they were just thrown off by her announcement because she typed up a statement for her socials and pressed 'send' without giving the label any kind of warning about when she'd let the public know, lol. And, as others have said, she likely already has something in the works with another label, whether it's in the early stages or a done deal, but I didn't expect her to immediately make an announcement of landing at a new record label this soon. I think we'll know by the summertime where she ends up.

I’m thinking she might make an announcement around the time she’ll have new music ready to go.

Hopefully this label change means her 2001 independent album will be back up on streaming soon..
