I wonder how big the Kendrick album bomb would be. Could it be Drake-sized? No

It's a catchy song that's a grower from Drake, who's a way bigger hitmaker and more broadly popular than Kendrick / Bad Bunny / Jack Harlow

obviously but that album's not gonna cause the level of discourse this one already has so then you don't think kendrick is "the ONLY thing in music ANYBODY talks about." got it I think that due to many different moments on the new Kendrick Lamar album that it will be extremely talked about even despite the numerous other albums coming out in the next few weeks that will likely not cause the same level of discussion because I highly doubt Harry's House is gonna be an album about Harry Styles dismantling the mythos around him and his popularity and also probably doesn't have a song on it where he says the f slur. Is that better

I expect most of the dropouts this week will be whatever Jack Harlow album cuts debut. Bad Bunny's weaker cuts as well will be gone but the album is holding up so In expecting more songs to fall than fall off, and any leftover Future cuts will leave as well.
That said, the chart will still in a disarray with a minimum 16 new songs (i assume the interludes will chart as well if they're not completely spoken word)

Unlike most other rappers (apart from Eminem perhaps), I can see Kendrick being bigger on Spotify than AM.

In addition to those songs, Hrs And Hrs, WDTAB, Beers On Me, 23, and Surface Pressure will all go recurrent if they eek out a 20th week on the 5/21 chart.

I think Die Hard might be the big hit from Kendrick’s album as it has the most pop/radio appeal to it. The production really reminds me of All The Stars. It might not seem like it for the first week but i feel like it’ll have the most longevity after that. Songs like N95, Father Time, Silent Hill and Savior might also have some streaming presence as well because of their production and featured artists.
We Cry Together and Purple Hearts are 2 of the fan favorites of the album so far, especially the former. They both exceed 5 mins so it’s a hit or miss whether they could stick around or not. I obviously don’t expect to be like how Puffin on Zooties was the fan favorite on Future’s album and it became the 2nd biggest song overall, but i guess they’ll hold up in Kendrick’s overall legacy.

but i guess they’ll hold up in Kendrick’s overall legacy. The album literally dropped today And it’s already an instant classic period. (Edit: i’m obviously joking, calling it a classic when it hasn’t even been out for 24 yet is sort of dumb. As for what i said prior, i can see that being a definite longshot but i hope those songs can prove themselves because they’re really great).

Die Hard sounds like it could be from the Black Panther soundtrack from its sound. I hope it becomes a hit.

For comparison does anyone remember if The Off Season was this dominant on AM in its first 26ish hours as that was one of the bigger non-Drake rap album bombs

Wait for U really is a smash hit (at least on Apple Music). Kendrick's album pushed it down to #9 but it's already up to #7 and rising. My guess is that it's back to #1 in the next couple of days.

According to HDD, wait for u had 27.1 million on-demand streams last week and only 6.5 million of those came from spotify. So yeah it's massive on AM

As expected Kendrick has the Top 18 on Spotify. Great debut for MCR too.
