Why do people think Beyonce is dropping something again? Is it because she took her main social pics down? The last time she made a mysterious social media change it was a new Ivy Park collection, so I wouldn't get too excited.
*edit* but please baby Jesus, let it be true this time.

similarly, recently billboard posted an article about how people expected taylor to announce her next release and then it was...another collection of merch.

I'm not gonna predict that they miss the #1 because that would be stupid to say so soon into the tracking week but for what it's worth the rule change is definitely gonna hurt them and their gap on iTunes isn't nearly as wide as I expected it to be... we still need to see their Spotify numbers however. I still think they're getting the #1 until proven otherwise but like I said earlier I think it's gonna be a pretty small gap

Its time where we start seeing the artificial runs happen, and cheap blockings from the top spot. Then some will be begging to go back to how the charts were earlier this year. Do Armys qualify as people?

Now, I think it's almost impossible for them to score multiple weeks at #1 with one song, at least I hope.

That new BTS song is bombing everywhere, I'd be surprised to see them hit #1 especially with the new rules and formula change. If they release like 4 remixes during the week, maybe

Yeah Butter is definitely their peak in this country, not saying they won't get anymore #1 hits, but they won't get anything as big as they made that track. No more #11 on the YE chart or 10 weeks at #1 is what I'm saying.

No more #11 on the YE chart or 10 weeks at #1 is what I'm saying. It's already red on iTunes and the ratio is bombing, it seems like their fanbase is crumbling after those awful English autotuned songs made them unstan. It's legit headed for 20K sales max on iTunes The video is struggling to hit 48M views, while LGO, a comparable song in Korean/album release single, did 68M views in 24 hours. It also has failed to enter the top 100 on AM, where Butter peaked inside the top 30. It might not even go top 5 without remixes at this rate

while bts's music and fans are...questionable, it is kinda nice to see a full-asian act have chart topping success.
in the streaming era, it's them and that's about it.

Bts is low key flopping (for Their standards) with yet to come… Are we finally seeing a shift?

Bailey Zimmerman's Rock and A Hard Place will have high debut on this week's chart. #2 on iTunes, #5 on Apple Music.

No more #11 on the YE chart or 10 weeks at #1 is what I'm saying. Nah, Dynamite was the peak for BTS in the US. Butter couldn’t even make it past 20 weeks with all its antics, whereas Dynamite legitimately spent 27 weeks on the chart before its stay was artificially extended by 5 weeks to get the longest running #1 on the digital songs chart.

The BTS song bombing is due to many things 1. This release is an anthology album. So barely any hype. 2. BTS having no creative ideas anymore. They have a great discography but after the shitty English singles ,the international fanbase wanted a Korean banger before enlistment but that didn’t happen. Koreans love ballads so they are eating it up there. 3. HYBE’s treatment of BTS. HYBE has been putting this older Justin Timberlake, corny ass image for BTS for a while. It seems that they want for younger kpop fans to their newer groups. Musically all the HYBE groups that debuted after BTS seem to have stronger styling, choreography, and even songs compared to them. Which makes sense, BTS won’t last forever and HYBE needs to have failsafes. But Armys are tired of being cashcows. And especially with the enlistment debacles and issues that HYBE is having with their younger groups, Armys aren’t blind to defend HYBE anymore so they won’t be as gullible to support BTS as underdogs that came from nothing.

Good first day numbers for BTS and Joji, a bit rougher for Halsey but apart from Without Me she was never someone to open big the first day. If she gets radio support and decent streaming she will be fine.
Demi hasn't had a hit in a while and the song isn't exactly radio friendly so vitality is the only thing that could help it take off. She's in her Miley Cyrus era ironically and even Miley was barely able to sustain a hit unfortunately.

Lizzo is so hit or miss — About Damn Time took a second to go top 10 and might grow to number one, Rumors debuted top 10 and collapsed, Good As Hell took literal years to go top 10, and Grrls (which to be fair is awful and one of the worst songs she put out) debuted at #200 on Spotify yesterday

Not every song/release is going to blow up immediately. Plus, there probably isn't a big focus on "GRRLS".
