This album is not for me. I like CUFF IT, BREAK MY SOUL, VIRGOS GROOVE and SUMMER RENAISSANCE. They definitely picked the best song for the lead. Agreed. Same with me. I also like Virgo's Groove, Break My Soul, and Summer Renaissance. |

This album is great from start to finish. I loved the transitions throughout and there were no duds. I'll be back after a few more listens to list my favorites.

Just listened to the songs on the album. It does not remind me anything of Erotica, Janet., or the The Velvet Rope like the others had mentioned. 🤷🏾♀️ It's actually more in line with "BEYONCE" and "Lemonade" albums. More talking/rapping and less singing. "Virgo's Groove" and "Summer Renaissance", along with "Break My Soul" are the only ones that really stood out to me the most. Church Girl is decent. Not for you. We will enjoy the culture for you. Good for you guys. Have fun! I will gladly leave this kind of music to the younger generation. Damn, what a triumph. I'd say out of the 16 tracks I'd maybe have 2 skips total. Again, the way she just seamlessly moves from one track to another while doing whatever the f*** she wants in terms of song structure is just genius.
I can't wait to listen to this at full volume in my apt tomorrow. It's not always worth the wait when artists take years between albums, but this is certainly an exception. Killed it.

gotta listen to the back catalog again bc this is CHALLENGING for her BEST! i am floored, it’s an event, it’s fun, it’s fucking iconic. it’s a culmination of her best and the production is absolutely unreal! this is why i love music!! there wasn’t a dull moment and it’s going to take multiple listens before i decide my favorites!!

I'm only keeping "Break My Soul," "Summer Rennaisance," "Cuff It," and "Virgo's Groove". I actually fucking LOVE "Virgo's Groove"; that's her best song in years for me. But I'm with Lucy here - this album overall is more talking/rapping than I like. Call me old-fashioned, or whatever, but I like my music ideally with melodies galore, clear full vocal performances, and hooks. To be perfectly fair to Bey, I don't find the album as unlistenable/cacophonus as The Gift, Everything Is Love and 80% of her output in recent years generally, so that's nice, but still, those four tracks aside, I just don't think Rennaisance is all that good. JMO. The bad thing is that given the experimentation in the production and whatnot I'm not even inclined to give it multiple listens so that it can possibly grow on me. |

I like what I hear so far! I like that it isn’t straight 90’s throughout. There is quite a bit of variety here sonically.

I actually love this album quite a bit. I had not been a fan of her last couple of albums as they felt like there were filled with these long laboring slow jams. I wanted Sasha Fierce to come back and I feel like she is back in full force here.

I'm quite disappointed with the album :( "Break My Soul" is the best track although I do like "Cozy", "Cuff It" & "Virgo's Groove".
Maybe the rest of the album will grow on me with a couple more listens.
