Amazing to see a dance track doing so well on radio right away. Is it POTENTIALLY the first dance song (by Billboard's definition) to go top 5 since Rain on Me? About Damn Time could be considered a dance song . the Beyonce song is more House while the Lizzo song has a more 70's Disco sound similar to Chic.

43(-3) BeyoncΓ© - BREAK MY SOUL 26.17 (-2.41)
8th day rolling effect. Itβs going to be interesting to see if the rolling effect continues the next 2 days, considering it got a +8M update on Day 3.

Just to point out, BMS didn't actually gain 8 mill. on its third full day. It just hit the top 50 on more formats so that AI information could be accounted for in the Kworb estimates. The actual gain would have been much less, we just don't know what that was; because Kworb sources his info from AllAccess which by design is incomplete.

At this point, I'm convinced that Heat Waves will beat Blinding Lights' record. As long as it doesnβt end up becoming the biggest hit of all time iβll be good. Now that is where i draw the line. The same with Stay as well as these 2 songs have overstayed anyoneβs welcome at this point. I like seeing songs break records and be on the charts for what feels like a lifetime but at least it was more interesting when it was all Levitating/SYT and even more exciting with BL/Circles. If Heat Waves and Stay becomes this yearβs top 2 i feel like that would be the furthest disconnect of any recent year since like 2016. At least i still liked all those other songs i mentioned, but for Heat Waves and Stay i did at first but now theyβre just boring and so dreadful to hear. Guess it wouldβve been somewhat passable if we were still in Mid March or something where pop music was static but now itβs basically July and these songs are clearly past its time.

where is Stay on the Hot 100? #19 on the 7/2 chart. It was its second lowest position during its run. #19 on the Hot 100 with #6 airplay but #49 streaming and not even on Digital Songs.

Just watch it go back into the Top 15 next week despite not being on either the streaming or digital songs chart.

The radio gains for "Running Up That Hill" are incredible. What was the last song to have a full second chart run years after it had originally been a hit? I'm not talking about short-lived viral moments (like with "Dreams", "My Boo", or "Still D.R.E."), holiday perennials, or songs briefly boosted by tragedy (deaths or the songs that saw a resurgence after 9/11) but a song that became an actual full-fledged hit in two different eras. "Bohemian Rhapsody" back in 1992?

"Bohemian Rhapsody" back in 1992? I know "Candle in the Wind" was spurred by a death, but it had a long Hot 100 run and got back into the top 40 on Top 40 radio so I'd consider it a full-fledged hit in the late 90s. It certainly wasn't the same as the re-entries of hits by Prince and Whitney after their deaths.

The original version was never a hit in the 70s and then there was the live version in the 80s so I'd consider them all different songs, like how I wouldn't count the live duet version of "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" as a second chart run of the original studio recording.

When are: 1. Lizzo releasing her album? and 2. Beyonce releasing the MV?
Because the window for Lizzo reaching #1 will close if it's on the same week.
RUTH will have this coming week, it's a now or never situation for it.

My Boo is the biggest recent one with a 5 week chart run capped at pos 50 -- counting recurrent weeks - it totaled 9 weeks
The 92 Queen thing was not subject to the #50 re-entry rule as back then the requirement was that the label re-released the single

"RUTH" wasn't exactly a huge hit in its initial run, which I only mention to wonder what your requirement for being a hit in two runs would be. I can't think of one at the moment since "BR" if you don't count "CITW," but of course others to do it would be "Unchained Melody," "Do You Love Me," and "Stand By Me." The Four Seasons had another run with "December 1963," but the second run was a remixed version I believe. Eric Clapton had a second run with "Layla," but the latter was a live version.
