And still not getting hits. It's a weird business... Well he drops like 50 projects a year so it makes sense. Would you rather have multiple of your songs pull streams or just 1-2 huge hits while the rest of them donβt stream as well as those songs? |

YB would have even more impact on the billboard 200 if not for free streams being weighed so low there. Even still, Sincerely, Kentrell still pulled like 120k units week 1 and beat Certified lover Boy for 1st there.

The radio gains for "Running Up That Hill" are incredible. What was the last song to have a full second chart run years after it had originally been a hit? I'm not talking about short-lived viral moments (like with "Dreams", "My Boo", or "Still D.R.E."), holiday perennials, or songs briefly boosted by tragedy (deaths or the songs that saw a resurgence after 9/11) but a song that became an actual full-fledged hit in two different eras. "Bohemian Rhapsody" back in 1992? Does Tequila by Dan + Shay count? I remember it had a lengthy run throughout 2018, then re-entered a few months later in like March 2019 and had a chart run long enough to make the 2019 YE If not, then maybe Cruise by Florida Georgia line, when the remix gave it a 2nd chart run. |

Regarding Youngboy NBA's streams, I believe most of his on-demand streams come from YouTube. For example, last week he was #3 in the weekly US Top Artist chart there, in spite, of not having any song in the Hot 100.

How much more in streaming will RUTH have to have to overtake AIW?
Seeing that by next week's radio numbers the difference will be between 50-55 AI plus around 10-15k in sales on RUTH's favor. Around 10 million more streams? Or more?

At this point, I'm convinced that Heat Waves will beat Blinding Lights' record. As long as it doesnβt end up becoming the biggest hit of all time iβll be good. Now that is where i draw the line. The same with Stay as well as these 2 songs have overstayed anyoneβs welcome at this point. I like seeing songs break records and be on the charts for what feels like a lifetime but at least it was more interesting when it was all Levitating/SYT and even more exciting with BL/Circles. If Heat Waves and Stay becomes this yearβs top 2 i feel like that would be the furthest disconnect of any recent year since like 2016. At least i still liked all those other songs i mentioned, but for Heat Waves and Stay i did at first but now theyβre just boring and so dreadful to hear. Guess it wouldβve been somewhat passable if we were still in Mid March or something where pop music was static but now itβs basically July and these songs are clearly past its time. For me, the big difference between Heat Waves and Stay is that at least HW still has strong enough streaming numbers to justify its position on radio/Hot 100. (Letβs not forget that its initial run on radio was ended prematurely.) Stay wore out on me about 40 weeks ago. Itβs streaming numbers are no longer there. There really is no reason why it should still be this high on radio. |

I don't wanna predict RUTH going #1 mostly because I don't wanna jinx it but I'm at least hoping for a new peak on the 7/16 chart, it still amazes me how much this 37 year old song has caught on, just a testament to how amazing it is
