A specific is gonna mighty upset when they find out Super Gremlin survived this week. I'm okay with it. It's going to be gone next week anyways. Plus, the Hot 100 is slowly cleaning its way out. Cold Heart (I like this song, but it's time, and Elton has a new song anyways) will be gone in 2 weeks, Shivers in 3 weeks, Ghost in 5 weeks. Big Energy when Taylor drops the album, and at some point during this time period, Stay should drop out as well. If we can get Heat Waves out, that will be a bonus. Barring a continued pop push from WoY (which would fall victim of the 25/52 rule 3 weeks after Taylor's album), RUTH will be the only song older than AIW on the charts come Thanksgiving.

I wasn’t talking about you but okay. Well, if you're talking about me, then basically what Phi said. Even if i think Super Gremlin is pretty bad outside of the hook, there's really no need to complain about it still staying on the Hot 100 when it is 100% gonna go recurrent next week, between the gains of the songs below it, Hold Me Closer, and that's before you factor DJ Khaled.

A specific user is gonna mighty upset when they find out Super Gremlin survived this week. Please refrain from making posts like this. They come across as baiting and only serve to derail the thread (and lbr who wants to read 3 pages of people complaining about songs/these posts as a result.)

Can they please announce Alien Superstar as single #2, it’s the song that shows the most longevity. Why would they pull BMS from radio without a follow-up single ready?

Will do, good thing the user at hand hasn’t been around for some time otherwise it wouldn’t have needed to say it.

Let's be honest, BMS is not going to suddenly become a bigger hit than it already is if radio decides to hold on to it for another 10 weeks.

I guess this is being judged as a new single? It could be a sleeper hit.

Is Harry's second single suffering because of the success of the first single? Yes, it's been an established trend for the last couple years (always been to some degree, but getting increasingly more extreme) that radio sticks on to the first single, taking away wind from succeeding ones.

The question remains, is it due to bad callouts or is Columbia pulling the plug to concentrate their efforts on the next single? I would think it would be radio starting to drop it due to bad callouts/poor audience feedback rather than the label itself pulling it in favor of the next single, because as previously stated, they don't seem to be pushing a next single.

It’s interesting how US seems to be BlackPink’s weakest English speaking market when it is BTS’s strongest market on the other hand.
BlackPink - Pink Venom: US - #22 Australia - #1 Canada - #4 New Zealand - #9 UK - #22
BlackPink - Lovesick Girls US - #59 Australia - #27 Canada - #29 New Zealand - #35 UK - #40
BTS - Butter: US - #1 Canada - #2 UK - #3 Australia - #6 New Zealand - #6
BTS - Yet To Come: US - #13 Canada - #16 Australia - #17 New Zealand - #24 UK - #27
Even without the US mass buying I’m pretty sure Butter would’ve went #1 first week so the point still stands even considering that.

Why is Die For You allowed to re-enter below top 50? I thought old songs are automatically recurrent and need to re-enter in top 50.

^^ Something similar happened with that song Walking On A Dream by Empire of the Sun in 2016, it came out in like 2008 but was suddenly getting a lot of traction, and a radio run got it to chart in the bottom 50.
