We also had the same thing happen with The Walters' "I Love You So" recently as well.

^^ Something similar happened with that song Walking On A Dream by Empire of the Sun in 2016, it came out in like 2008 but was suddenly getting a lot of traction, and a radio run got it to chart. I once heard it on my local today's hits station in early 2010. I thought it was going to smash at that time because I felt it had the perfect sound for the turn of the 2010's decade. I'm surprised it took 6 more years to smash, and when it did, it kind of felt out of place for the time.

From what I'm seeing the YE predictions for One Right Now are close to the top 20 at present, right in the neighborhood of Good For U, Need To Know, and Till You Can't, which is big enough .

I Like You is definitely more closer to a One Right Now sized hit, than a Sunflower/Circles/Rockstar sized hit.

Honestly, none of the singles from the album are probably gonna become even a Psycho level hit.

Why is Die For You allowed to re-enter below top 50? I thought old songs are automatically recurrent and need to re-enter in top 50. The point of the recurrent rule is really about purging established hits that have already peaked and linger past a certain threshold. Given that Die For You only charted for a few weeks so far, it's not really in that category, regardless of how old it is, so it makes sense to let it chart, especially if it's being given the single treatment for the first time.

I thought it'd be interesting to list the most dominant #1s (overall weeks at #1) in the US/UK/Canada/Australia (from 2007 until now): * - currently at #1

I Like You is definitely more closer to a One Right Now sized hit, than a Sunflower/Circles/Rockstar sized hit. Yeah, neither One Right Now or I Like You, so far, are even close to his biggest hits, having only peaked at #6 and #9 respectively, so it's a bit premature to insinuate he's even nearly at the level he previously was.

^It debuted at #38 at Pop Airplay. It was also #24 at Spotify last week.
