Britney is not in top 100 on AM - Khaled has some songs in top 10 Hold Me Closer is now #86 on Apple Music let’s hope it goes higher and she has good Spotify numbers . Only one version available so not sure how high or low the expectations are

I think whichever song ends up at #2 on the 9/3 chart between Bad Habit and Super Freaky Girl will probably be #1 on the 9/10 chart (and possibly for a while). Sadly As It Was is holding on very well on radio, so we may have to wait. It could realistically squeak out another 3-4 weeks just due to sheer lack of competition.

Hold Me Closer's nice but honestly I'm mostly rooting for it because Britney deserves so many wins after what she's been through, very excited to see where she goes in her solo music from here

If you want that nightmare of a Garth Brooks intergenerational version of Friends In Low Places he already did one with FL/GA Line, if you haven't heard it yet (I have it on cd myself).

Wish Garth had his music on AM. It's the 12th and final song on the Ultimate Collection version of his 2016 album Gunslinger. If you want to listen to singers like Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line try their hand at the immortal song, that's where to go.

You’re underestimating how AIW is still very stable, plus it has a near 30 point lead over everyone else. I’ll say it again, Bad Habit and SFG are going to need a couple weeks to be strong enough to neutralize and fully beat that margin, even if I think SFG has a shot this week.

At this point, I just want something to take the throne away from AIW for good. Just like See You Again did to Uptown Funk, or Cheerleader to SYA. And I don’t really want SFG to buy its way to a return to #1. Bad Habit going to #1 would be the most organic of all the options. It’s #1 in Spotify and Shazam, as well as #2 on AM. Shazam isn't a chart metric. Even if you mean that in regards to indicating general public taste, I must point out that a top 20 on the chart right now, "Carry Me Home" by Jorja Smith, has essentially nil impact on any proper metric: a peak barely in the top 100 on Apple, no appearances on Spotify, YouTube, or all-format radio. Back to "Bad Habit" itself, its main problem is that audio streaming is all it has: sales are meager, radio is gaining but not at a rapid enough pace, and video streaming's beginning to slip. If it ekes out a modest gain in this new tracking week (which is already a stretch, since it's projected to have lost on the September 3 chart), its numbers would look something like this:

It sounds more for a night club than mainstream, but we’ll see how the audience responds with streams. I didn’t think it was terrible, but I don’t mind myself hooked into it.

I tried to find what you're looking for. It's for a virtual concert for a game called Free Fire but there's been so little promotion for it, I don't even think the concert has happened yet. Hence why it wasn't on any of the new releases

It’s interesting how European media tore the single to shreds in their reviews, yet American media gave it critical praise. I think “woke” media will do the best to streamline a nice glowing review for Britney because it’s the right thing to do, even if it feels a little forced. TMZ, the same institution that tore her down in 2007 is now singing her praises in a way that doesn’t feel genuine. Oh well, I guess that’s a step in the right direction. But also can we not be “blinded” by Britney’s life drama and critique the song for what it really is? Just my two cents.

Drop it to .69 on itunes. It is rising on radio but needs better sales.

Nicki Minaj has her MTV Vanguard performance coming up on Sunday and it’s speculated that she will drop the Video to align with the promo from the performance. If all goes as planned I see SFG going back to #1. Radio is also coming on strong and it’s been stable enough on streaming. Then again, the points are so low that 7m video streams could be enough to propel it to #1.

Finally heard Hold Me Closer and oh no, it's really not good. Neither is I'm Good.
Can we please have GOOD sampling this year? It's a bad look when a song basically rickrolling has had better sampling than most hits this year.

wasn’t expecting anything close to this. Her streams usually suck, could make Britney the youngest(?) female with four consecutive decades of charting a top ten!!!

A #6 start on Spotify with it not doing much elsewhere will not result in a top 10, especially assuming the song has declines on Spotify.

Drop it to .69 on itunes. It is rising on radio but needs better sales. It really shouldn't come down to that. At this point, I do not think sales should count towards the Hot 100 anymore. It isn't even an accurate measure of popularity these days, as very seldomly the song that is #1 on sales is #1 on the Hot 100 (unless there's manipulation), and sometimes the #1 song on sales doesn't even chart at all. [You won't ever see the #1 song on streaming or radio be below the Top 15 of the Hot 100.] Shazam and TikTok are better measures of popularity than sales at this point, and should be counted towards the Hot 100 instead of sales. In any case, Bad Habit feels like the biggest song right now, but the Hot 100 doesn't reflect that because not enough of its formula is directed to what measures are popular today. I still think radio should count towards the Hot 100, but not for 35-40% of its points. In my opinion, streaming (including UGC/TikTok) and Shazam should make up 75-80% of the Hot 100 formula, with the rest to radio.

A few thousand more in sales is only equal to like 8-10 million audience impressions or 1 million paid streams. That isn't getting it to #1 at the moment.
