The jumpscare I got when I looked at this thread and then Anti-Hero started playing next on my phone.

Considering recent events, if there truly is going to be a third Midnights single I think Karma's chances got a lot lower, and Midnight Rain higher. But then again maybe Midnight Rain would be too personal.

Also praying the video isn’t for Vigilante Shit, even if the tour performance made it grow on me immensely.

Maybe its just me but with the high boots, the paparazzi photos feel very 'Speak Now.'
Totally want/prepared to be wrong and its a 'Karma' video but it looks to me like a Vault track getting single treatment like 'I Bet You Think About Me.'

"Why are you still up at this hour? Because you're cosplaying vengeance fantasies, where the bad bad man is hauled away in handcuffs and you get to watch it happen. You laugh into the mirror with a red wine snarl. You look positively deranged"
From the Midnights prologue. I could see the leaks fitting this perfectly well

First night in Tampa got “Speak Now” and “Treacherous.”
Also, appears that “the 1” is in fact permanent.

Anti-Hero is #8 (+1) on the Hot 100! Throw some extra streams in there this week. For the 4/29 chart if she makes it then it will be here longest running ever.

Anti Hero is by far her strongest lead single imo. I think it'll continue to have great longevity and recurrent play.

her best lead single in terms of quality is "cardigan" by far. no doubt about it.
in terms of lead single appropriateness, and pop/chart success, I always thought "Look What You Made Me Do" was well-executed (despite being a pretty bad song). I find "Anti-Hero" extremely mediocre, but it is admittedly another well-executed lead. That being said, "Love Story" is historic and a smash through and through, while being a great song, so I would go with that.

I agree that Anti-Hero is her best lead. Perfect for the times and extremely well thought out selection. It just doesn’t burn. I still get excited when it comes on. I don’t think it’s the best song on Midnights (very close though!) but it was the best representation of the project.

LWYMMD is a great song.

LWYMMD and Anti-Hero are her best lead singles by far. LS and SIO aren’t far off either.

I'm admittedly quite ambivalent about "Shake It Off". "Love Story" remains timeless though.

I've honestly never been all that infatuated with "Anti-Hero." It's a good track, but probably middle of the pack for me for Taylor Swift songs. As far as lead singles go, I never got quite into it like I did with "Love Story," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Shake It Off," and "Look What You Made Me Do." Not that I believe all four of them are better, I just remember being obsessed with each of those tracks and that never happened to me with "Anti-Hero." I honestly don't think I'll be revisiting "Anti-Hero" all that much as time marches on, most of Midnights is much more appealing to me. But as far as my own personal opinion of quality at the moment, "Anti-Hero" would rank below "Love Story," "Look What You Made Me Do," and "willow" and pretty much ties with "cardigan" and "Mine."
"Lavender Haze," on the other hand, I've kind of bizarrely gotten obsessed with in the past couple weeks.

I feel like like the secret sauce about Anti-Hero is that it has that special thing like Delicate where it just doesn’t really burn (or does very, very slowly). It’s suuuuuuch an easy song to listen to regardless of your mood, or the weather, or what’s going on with you, or how many times you’ve heard it.
