Well, I'm glad everyone else is enjoying the new SOTB production. I think it sounds less magical than the original—I'm still appreciative we got more Lana, but I don't see this version replacing the old one for me.

If you were someone that thought the original SOTB had an issue, it was that it was just too much of a non-event. It was a snooze.


This gives it LIFE. This makes it MOVE. I genuinely think the added production makes the melody pop MORE, which is what any good production should do. It doesn’t muddle the song at all. And it’s just so incredibly lush, all layers of harmonies and adlibs - it’s gorgeous.

There will always be a place for simplicity. But I really really appreciate this remix.

The "Karma" Remix is just there. It isn't awful, but doesn't elevate the song (like the "Bad Blood" Remix) so other than breathing a bit of fresh air into the track it was kinda pointless.

"Snow On The Beach (Feat More Lana)" is definitely an upgrade from the original. Those harmonies between the two are even more gorgeous, Lana's vocals shine front and center throughout that second verse, and I love those absolutely addictive hums in the background after the bridge. Gorgeous.

"Hits Different" remains a jam.

Karma w/ Ice Spice is not for me. I’ll keep using the original.

Hits Different being available to stream at my leisure makes me happy. This does sound like a hit song to me now, but I can’t help but feel the timing is off with Karma and Cruel Summer rising.

The new SOYB lowkey sucks and I prefer the OG Karma but I hope it boosts the single like it deserves. Hopefully the music video makes it grow on me. The Lover Titanic remix of the era.

I'm a SOTB truther (I f*cking love the original) so I'm taking a second to digest this one. Not sure if the new production is it for me yet. The new piano brings some drama that makes it feel more like a Lana record. For now I'll just say I'm glad we got both. But I'll never understand the hate from the original; it's so magical.

Hits Different is fantastic. I had only played once on YouTube, and I'm glad I saved it for more enjoyment later. Just wonderful. Guess that's going to be the situation for 'You're Losing Me', too.

The Karma remix is.... well. Glad it will boost the song's chart position!

I’m right there with you. Not a Lana fan so I appreciated she was non-existent in the original, but the production made the song feel like a bore. This new production elevates the song SO much for me but then Lana’s verse brought it back down. Taylor give us “Snow on the Beach (feat. New Production and Less Lana) please.

I wanna see Taylor have a huge hit ballad one of these days. I'm still surprised she hasn't had one all these years (I know "White Horse" was super successful on country, but I'm talking pop/mainstream). The closest she came was I think with "Teardrops On My Guitar" but it was remixed with a beat. Maybe "Wildest Dreams"? lol Either way she's due!

Well I certainly do. I think it would be absurd to claim that a song that is Top 100 on Global Spotify right now is not a huge hit. It was big on TikTok and is constantly going viral in new markets (Recently charted in Brazil and Peru). Both Lover and Cardigan will end up at least 5x platinum. You'll have a hard time convincing anyone they aren't huge because some radio programmers didn't spam them on radio, a dying metric. Times have changed and I think it's important to consider that.
