I think LNT is probably done after this week. Sales will peak and radio is probably as high as it's gonna get. Bad Habit seems like the next #1 but it will take time. Then maybe Taylor's single? Aiw is really stealing potential from better songs. That's frustrating. It's hogging up all the chances lnt had, and what's even more frustrating is that First Class could've been a long running number one if it wasn't for aiw. Also I really don't see Bad Habit going number 1 at this point. Taylor will probably get it before it has a chance. AIW isn't stealing anything from songs. As It Was was, and is more organically popular than both Late Night Talking and First Class even after months. If you want a chart where songs take turns at the top, go make your own personal one. Y'all are NPCs is2g It stole weeks at #1 from RUTH and now Bad Habit, both of which are more organic than AIW. They didn't need a digital download with alternative cover of the song in the 5th week of its run like AIW. If Bad Habit doesn't go to #1, that would be 2 different hits with 3+ weeks at #1 on streaming that failed to reach #1 on the Hot 100. Meanwhile, we have AIW with less weeks at #1 on streaming than RUTH and Bad Habit about to challenge Uptown Funk's 14 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100. That just seems so wrong to me, and a reflection of how flawed the Hot 100 formula is.

Once again, itβs stealing nothing. AIW is just performing better than everything else right now. Thatβs a fact, and we canβt argue with that. Weird how you guys were ok with other songs getting 10+ weeks at #1 but not this one. If AIW is βperforming betterβ than everything else, then explain why it has fewer weeks at #1 on sales and streaming than RUTH. Or why AIW has fewer weeks at #1 on streaming than First Class and Bad Habit. Letβs be honest. Forget OTR, Despacito, and Uptown Funk. AIW isnβt even as big as Stay. At least Stay had some big 350+ point weeks before the post-CLB lack of competition. (If Stay was smashing this year instead, it would have likely broken the OTR record.) If AIW ended with 5 or even 7 weeks at #1, I would have been okay with it. But the fact that it is threatening the records of the biggest songs of all time, like Uptown Funk, just doesnβt seem right at all.

I was just trying to say that First Class would've had way more weeks at #1, and also that it's the reason why lnt hasn't been as successful as it should've been.

This is a 7 day chart -- the "fewer weeks at #1" in one metric or another is irrelevant and non-sensical. 12 weeks running in EACH INDIVIDUAL WEEK, it has performed better than the others around it

No duh First Class would've had more weeks at #1 if it was most popular. But it wasn't. If you just wanna say that you wish First Class had more weeks at number one then just say that but don't try and say As It Was has been taking attention away from other songs. AIW has been out for 5 months now. If LNT really was as "successful as it should've been", people would be streaming it more than AIW.

Would that be covered in the sub-component charts though? Billboard painstakingly breaks down it's formula into sub charts specifically for this reason (e.g. Sales Chart, Streaming Chart, Airplay Chart).
Wouldn't they be satisfied with whatever chart has their personal preference than getting upset about the Hot 100 specifically?
Wouldn't it make more sense to be upset if an entire methodology was not taken into consideration, rather than be upset about specific weight of metrics which are already being measured?
