Seems like we'll be clear from album bombs for another week. As for new entries, we probably won't see any breakouts from the Bubbling Under, and I'm not sure what new singles could/will chart.
I wonder if there's gonna be other Coolio songs that will rechart besides Gangsta's Paradise, but based on data now, doesn't seem like there will be any.

This tracking week coincides with my birthday, so assuming the battle for #1 will be between AIW and Bad Habit, this will be my first birthday with a truly great song topping the Hot 100 since The Hills in 2015.

That's definitely fair. I totally forgot about the album bombs. But I also don't see why this week of all weeks would be the week it drops out. You could be right, but I wouldn't say rip until it's confirmed, cause it could survive.

New post I've been wanting to do...With TikTok's continued ability to spring up new songs and artists out of nowhere, I think it would be fun to get a weekly glance at what songs are big on TikTok. I found tokboard.com which scrapes TikTok's top videos and tracks which sounds perform the best on a rolling 7-day basis. It's not perfect, but it should provide a better look into how the charts are being driven by TikTok. Who knows, maybe it will reveal some big song trends before they become mainstream.


I'll try to filter it to only songs relevant to the chart, however I'll try to throw in songs by lesser-known artists if they're really blowing up. Let me know of any ideas to improve the view!

I'm Good and Numb are great EDM songs - Americans are just hesitant to like anything that has a good beat to it. I'm Good is rising fast but it's already hit #1 in the UK lol

New post I've been wanting to do...With TikTok's continued ability to spring up new songs and artists out of nowhere, I think it would be fun to get a weekly glance at what songs are big on TikTok. I found tokboard.com which scrapes TikTok's top videos and tracks which sounds perform the best on a rolling 7-day basis. It's not perfect, but it should provide a better look into how the charts are being driven by TikTok. Who knows, maybe it will reveal some big song trends before they become mainstream.


I'll try to filter it to only songs relevant to the chart, however I'll try to throw in songs by lesser-known artists if they're really blowing up. Let me know of any ideas to improve the view!

So it had a small effect on streams but not much.

Interesting stats! Heat Waves can't afford to lose too many more streams. 90k fewer daily streams means a ~600k weekly drop, or a 4% drop in consumption. That will push Heat Waves into the 21-24 range in its 90th week. 1 or 2 debuts next week could make things pretty dicey for breaking the record.
