Yeah, even if She Likes It isn’t that good, it’s not a song worth making another phi out of. Obviously its not worth being annoying over, but She Likes It is terrible tbh. My biggest worry is that it'll kick Thinking Bout You out of the year end list. I would like for Billboard to not include songs that haven't reached the top 50 in the Hot 100 year end chart. Left and Right which peaked at #22 feels like the bigger hit than She Likes It which just had more longevity in the bottom half due to country radio.

I do think these country songs are a bit different just because country radio currently hangs onto songs for so long, but yeah not advocating for some rule about year-end charts.

Kinda random but I would not be shocked if Anti Hero topped the 2023 YE, it’s streaming is strong and it’s backed up by a strong radio push.

I really doubt it, but at least it has the potential to be her biggest song since Blank Space (or Bad Blood), which is a huge deal. peak weeks t10 Style #6 9 Wild Drem #5 9 Bad Blood #1(1) 13 IDWLF #2 12 LWYMMD #1(3) 8 ME! #2 4 Yes, the streaming is good, but we're only in the 2nd week and I don't expect another 30M, maybe I'm wrong.
also, waaay to early to talk about this😂

I think worst case scenario, it's her biggest radio hit since YNTCD back in 2019, and biggest Hot 100 hit since Bad Blood.
But she has never had the legs to top a year end chart. And by March she'll probably be on a new album era (Speak Now TV).

was Tay's last radio #1 LWYMMD? Kind of wild her fall of on radio since then (although it looks like Anti-Hero might change some of that trajectory)

Not sure where LWYMMD peaked on overall radio before it's catastrophic decreases but that also reached #1 on Pop first. Lover yielded two more top 10 hits and she hasn't visited the region since.

I just realized she went the entirety of 2022 without doing any TVs. The releases of them are being so randomly done and seem more like hassles at this point lol.

I hope Anti-Hero goes #1 on radio songs, she seems like such a radio staple that it’s kind of weird that Taylor popularity era 3.0 hasn’t spawned any radio attention

^No Billboard subscription is required to check this. I see its peak on the chart with that song was #29.

Eh, she can just perform one song from each unowned album and release those. We already have two from 1989.

Yeah but that feels unnecessarily restrictive and not super different from what a normal Taylor concert is with a handful of older songs plus the current era.
Could go either way I guess

Yeah but that feels unnecessarily restrictive and not super different from what a normal Taylor concert is with a handful of older songs plus the current era. Could go either way I guess Well she has unlimited choices from six albums, and two choices from 1989. That would give her not much restriction. If she avgs two songs per album and some get one, it's not a big chasm between albums

I bet she's going to make sure she gets a number one with Debut (TV) to avenge her non-#1 on that album and the only way to do that would be to not saturate the market

Bailey Zimmerman has had two songs next to each other for a while now - that’s an absurd fun fact that I doubt happened to this extent (beyond maybe like the Black Eyed Peas having #1 and #2 on the chart for a while)

with the end of this thread - where does Midnights stack up among Album bombs? Is it the biggest of all time? Do CLB or Scorpion still claim that title? Does Red TV claim that title with the most debuts?

with the end of this thread - where does Midnights stack up among Album bombs? Is it the biggest of all time? Do CLB or Scorpion still claim that title? Does Red TV claim that title with the most debuts? Well..I'm no album bomb expert...actually I find them to be odd and disruptive to the chart, leading to all sorts of discussions about where x song would be without the album bomb. Seems like Midnights is a pretty big one, what with snagging the entire top 10 and all. Maybe it's a weak top of the chart right now, and that's part of the reason for this amazing accomplishment? With that said..I've given the album a few curiosity spins and...meh? I'm not a HUGE Taylor fan but I like a lot of her poppier stuff, so I was expecting to enjoy this one. Maybe I need to absorb the vibe a bit more but eve Anti-Hero, which seems to be shaping up to be the de-facto lead single, isn't very exciting to me. It doesn't really develop or go anywhere. It's just a consistent mood with not a lot of dynamics to it. Pleasant, but the top of the heap of a giant album bomb? Maybe I'm getting old - I'm ancient in pop music years - but I kinda...don't get the hype.
