Hopefully I'm wrong but Cuff It is the exact type of underpromoted song that gets lost in the holiday freeze.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I think Cuff It might get caught between years.

I'm hoping "Cuff It" will gain steadily into the new year and then rise a lot on the Hot 100 when the Christmas songs drop out. Maybe BeyoncΓ© will finally release some music videos as well? Apparantley the visuals for the album will be out soon - possibly end of year/beginning of 2023 and will be a visual film with each track having its own music video. Could give the album a really nice boost in streaming as well if they get all the music videos uploaded individually to her youtube channel as well as the entire film.

Brave of you guys to assume she doesn't have 15 other remixes ready to go. 2 aimless remixes in 48 hours. This is serving secondhand embarrassment.

I'd still rather remixes than 8 different covers and all the other random stuff tried over the years.

At least she's making an effort. We should appreciate artists playing the charts game.

Taylor, it's so hard to defend you sometimes. π© I'm rooting for Drake this time (Drake will still be #1 though, no matter how hard she tries).

looks like Unstoppable has peaked So as it turns out, it was, in fact, stoppable after all. Iβll see myself out. π My joke about the song has been, "Sia claims to be unstoppable, but we have to at least try."

I donβt get it. Literally every pop artists releases remixes for their songs. From Dua Lipa to BeyoncΓ© with Break My Soul to The Weekend. Some even do entire EPs and albums. Iβm starting to realize that perhaps nobody cares enough about them to drag or keep tabs on their releases because itβs weird that Taylor always gets singled out and called desperate. As if this hasnβt been in the works for weeks, before her or Republic knew about Drakes album

She literally isn't going #1 this week, regardless of remixes (we know that's the real concern). She has been releasing remix after remix for lead singles like this for years at this point and we are in an uproar every single time?
"SHAMELESS!!!!!! PATHETIC!!!!!" Like, garnering such extreme responses as these over remixes? It's just a music chart at the end of the day. You'd think she shot someone. Can it be a bit excessive? Sure, but man. lol

Yβall not tired from losing yβall minds over something so inconsequential?
βShameful, embarrassingβ if the song was FIGHTING for its life to get number one for the first time sure but itβs been number one for two weeks and will almost certainly be number one the week after this and is already back to number one on global Spotify. Itβs not exactly like sheβs tryna fake a hit

Say whatever y'all wanna say. I'm just glad my fave doesn't have to resort to aimless remixes (for whatever purpose) and understands the place of simply putting music out and getting out of the way. That's all I have on that.

Idk why Taylor even has to do this, like the song will be back to #1 next week anyways, it has massive radio and still surging, huge streams, etc. It's a real hit, she doesn't need to do these bizarre tactics, this isn't like ME! or her other tracks from the last four years where it's entirely frontloaded and doesn't stick around very long, there's actually momentum with Anti-Hero.
Don't hate the player, hate the game I guess.

Thankfully she pathetically resorted to these tactics like the lowlife she is. lol

I'm glad most of my favs are flops so I don't have to worry about how well they perform because most will never chart in the first place :kii:

At this point, I have to thank Taylor, Drake, and 21 for doing something because Xmas songs would probably fill the album's bomb placements way earlier than we imagine.

2022 in pop music really just had only 2 big moment periods, involving either back to back album bombs or huge streaming singles. One in April/May (Harry/Jack/Bad Bunny/Future/Kendrick) and the other happening right now in Oct/Nov (Lil Baby/Taylor/Drake and 21). The rest of the year just fell flat with barely anything going on.

Iβm starting to realize that perhaps nobody cares enough about them to drag or keep tabs on their releases because itβs weird that Taylor always gets singled out and called desperate. As if this hasnβt been in the works for weeks, before her or Republic knew about Drakes album Historically those remixes would come at one time (a maxi-single, or an EP as you said). These Swift ones are all released separately, and timed to benefit her at specific points in chart runs. She's done this a lot. And yes others do it, too, and they receive criticism here as well. Taylor might get it more, but it's probably because she does it more often (if only because she releases music more often). I also think in general people prefer an "organic" hit, though most #1s aren't necessarily that so it's more that it's refreshing when it happens. As for this all being in the works for weeks, that actually makes it worse IMO. That means they didn't have real faith in the song itself and were planning all of these ways to keep it going. So, again, not organic.

I would also definitely add We Don't Talk About Bruno/the Encanto soundtrack, as well as Running Up That Hill (depending on how exactly you define a "big moment").

Lol, can't wait for Drake to drop a remix. But in all seriousness, has Drake never released a remix?? I find that odd.
