I feel people need to realize already that a major driving factor for Christmas songs streaming numbers isn't necessarily individuals streaming the songs but more of cafe/restaurants, stores, and malls putting it on lol. There's a reason why Christmas songs tend to do very well in Amazon Music and why the streaming numbers tend to be pretty close to each other since its just thousands of places around the country playing songs from the same few playlists.

The amazon numbers could also just be people telling their Alexas to play christmas music.

Yup. And people can do the same thing with their other smart devices. Google, Siri, and Alexa can all connect to whatever streaming platform you use. Guaranteed that with any device, if you say "play Christmas music," it just pulls up the first playlist with "Christmas" in the title and they're going to be relatively similar playlists across the board. And I would bet money on people just wanting festive Christmas music playing in the background or whatever and not really caring what specific song it is is way more common than any other type of music.

In other words, playlists are a mega driving force for streaming and even more so for Christmas music. Hell, we saw this play out a couple years ago when Spotify dropped Mariah down a couple pegs on several playlists and she suddenly slipped behind Brenda on their daily chart as a result.

Kinda wish Spotify's Christmas Mix playlists were bigger than just the ordinary Christmas playlists. Mix playlists are algorithmically based on user listening habits, so each user would have a unique Christmas playlist catered to them. It would create a little more variety in the charts every December.

Side note, they also have a Thanksgiving Mix apparently?? I just checked mine out and... I am confused lol. I Drink Wine? star-crossed? Girl at Home? Water Me? What is this? 😭 The only actual Thanksgiving song in my list is from Bob's Burgers. 💀

not related to this week's chart, but news about a very persistent hit from a few years back:

"Sunflower" becomes the highest certified song in RIAA history as it receives a 17x Platinum award.

(Notably, I believe there are a few other songs eligible for 17x and higher, but it probably came down to whoever acted on it faster.)

Just because you don't like holiday music before Thanksgiving doesn't mean other people don't want to hear it already.

Probably not, the streaming gap isn't big enough to overpower Anti-Hero's radio advantage. And who knows if Taylor releases more remixes.
