I had the pleasure to act in a 'Fame' musical my school threw back in the day when I was teenager, it was a great and wonderful experience. She'll live forever in our hearts. May she fly high in heaven. |

If Olivia N-J didnt re-enter the Hot 100 could Irene Cara do it? Olivia died on a Monday vs Irene on a Saturday. even with two extra days all the Christmas songs would make it unlikely to happen. |

The death day relative to the tracking week won’t matter much if day Flashdance sees a brief resurgence that is big enough to chart.
If any song renters it will be flashdance. With Olivia lots more to choose from

Maybe. Olivia had a deeper catalog. More songs she was known for The issue with IC potentially charting is the multiple re-recordings of F...WAF on Spotify and Amazon. The most popular versions on Spotify are re-recording - the '95 version and the WAF (no Flashdance in title), so all those are separate entities. The original is buried in a compilation ('Disco Nights') on Spotify. On iTunes, the original is on the 'What A Feeling' album, which isn't available on the other services. Unlike, Pop Crave, I doubt 'Fame' is as noteworthy to general public as F...WAF. It's a real shame her career hit so many roadblocks. |

An observation I have is that there are very few 'religious' holiday songs that do well. For November 24 all of the holiday songs in the Spotify top 200 were secular. For November 25 Nat King Cole's "Joy to the World" and Bing Crosby's "Do You Hear What I Hear" entered, and that's it.

Does anyone else think AIWFCIY will reach 19 weeks at some point or will Billboard change its formula for Christmas songs before that ever happens? Personally, I’d like to see a rotation of other Christmas songs hitting #1 in December, but that’s never going to happen. What do you mean it will never happen? It got VERY close to happening last year. There was one week where Brenda Lee almost got #1 last year, extremely close behind Mariah. So it's entirely possible we can get different Christmas #1s in the future. I think it may happen this year actually. |

Woah what is that audience gain for Die For You? Anyone know why Die For You got a huge gain on Kworb, it went up 9M in audience today. It's showing up on the rhythmic radio chart again. It must've been recurrent/gold due to charting there years ago. |

Made You Look went to #1 on iTunes for a while, before Zach Bryan's The Good I'll Do got a massive boost from placement in the latest episode of Yellowstone and is #1 now.

Does anyone else think AIWFCIY will reach 19 weeks at some point or will Billboard change its formula for Christmas songs before that ever happens? Personally, I’d like to see a rotation of other Christmas songs hitting #1 in December, but that’s never going to happen. What do you mean it will never happen? It got VERY close to happening last year. There was one week where Brenda Lee almost got #1 last year, extremely close behind Mariah. So it's entirely possible we can get different Christmas #1s in the future. I think it may happen this year actually. Yeah I think "RATCT" will overtake "AIWFCIY" on the Hot 100 for at least one week this year. "Jingle Bell Rock" may do so as well. Their Spotify playlisting is really good, and they've pulled away from "AIWFCIY" more and more on Spotify each year. "AIWFCIY" does better basically everywhere else and has held them off, but since the gap is already starting this year and we're not even in December, I think that Spotify gap will be huge by Christmas. |
