Her previous album was so good, I’m hoping this lives up to it.

She will probably have to settle for a #2 debut like Pink recently. Morgan’s next few weeks will be huge, although both artists are very big on streaming.

She will probably have to settle for a #2 debut like Pink recently. Morgan’s next few weeks will be huge, although both artists are very big on streaming. It'll depend on how big his second week drop is. Although given his streaming seems to be fairly stable, he has 36 tracks vs Miley's 12 (13 including "Flowers" demo) and he's projected ~500k first week. It'll be a tough ask of Miley. If Morgan drops like a standard album his second week should see a ~60% drop which would bring him down to 200k - which I think Miley could do if the album does strong on streaming plus she'll be releasing a music video for "River" and pushing that as a single which'll likely do really well. Given the general hype around Miley and how bigs "Flowers" is I'm expecting she may end up doing good numbers. Her biggest opening for an album is Bangerz with ~270,000. Given how big "Flowers" is I'm hoping she can at least do 200k+. Fingers crossed she may release a deluxe edition or something come Friday with some more tracks to help out as well.

I’m guessing Miley has a radio deal for tomorrow. My local CHR station said they’ll be playing songs from Endless Summer Vacation all day Friday.

Just listened to the whole album. River, Violet Chemistry, and Handstand are amazing. Handstand is probably her best song to date.

There are some clips out there and I will say I prefer Bangerz and Plastic Hearts, but will reserve judgment until I hear it in full.

Just finished listening to the album and its a solid but inconsistent record. Half of the album kinda feels like Younger Now except with Plastic Hearts vocals and themed and the other half the better uptempo pop songs (Violet Chemistry, River, Jaded, Rose Colored Lenses, and Handstand).
There are sprinkles of other sounds on thd album, River gives Gaga Chromatica energy but with better production, Handstand is experimental in a way similar to parts of Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, and Muddy Feet feels like a modern take on a Bangerz song.
The album is cohesive thematically but basically retreads all of Plastic Hearts themes of self love, her breakup, and moving on. Not that its necessarily a bad thing but it isn't really hitting any new ground. Its a solid 7/10 album through and through but I do personally wish she continued the pop rock inspired sound of Plastic Hearts.

Definitely a step down from Plastic Hearts, but it's solid. On the first few spins, "Flowers," "Jaded," "Rose Colored Lenses," "Violet Chemistry, "You" and "Island" are my favs. "River" is a giant nothing-burger of a song, but it has a dance beat so the gays will swear it's a masterpiece. "Handstand" is such a spectacular failure, I almost admire it, lol. "Wonder Woman" is a snooze. Everything else is okay/good. Lyrically, she's in good shape for the most part, some of it's a tad too on the nose and redundant though (I'm looking at you "Wildcard").
She totally pulled a Taylor and relegated her features to background vocals, she didn't even need to list Brandi or Sia on either song, lol.

Violet Chemistry easily is my top favorite but I like River (she's fun but nothing mind-blowing), Handstand (I see this being a love it or hate it cut), Rose Colored Lenses, and Muddy Feet (its true you cannot hear Sia on this like at all lmao) are my top 5 so far.

Flowers - This really grew on me over time but I still feel the whole instrumental is missing a punch, especially in the choruses Jaded - Everything about this is perfect! Rose Coloured Lenses - I love this. The chorus’ rhyme is a bit funky, but overall a very strong song Thousand Miles - That guitar is great, as is the harmonica, and the chorus is the Miley I love. Brandi really helps elevate the song, although she’s just a harmony. My only complaint is that the mastering is really off in the chorus, the vocals are way too quiet compared to the rest of the song You - A super nice ballad, with some strong drums. I absolutely adore the production on this album so far, I consider it even stronger than Plastic Heart so far Handstand - No thanks. I never listened to Dead Pets, but this is how I imagine that probably sounded. As it goes on, it gets better as she actually starts to sing, but I won’t be listening to this much River - So far I am struggling to see why this was the second single. The instrumental is strong, but the key she decided to ‘sing’ in in the verses is strange and jarring Violet Chemistry - Back to good vocals, especially in the chorus. It’s pretty good Muddy Feet - Well I can tell Sia wrote this. She was my favourite artist until about 2018/2019, and then her lyric writing got so lazy. This is good, though, and Miley’s strong vocals make up for the repetition. The piano and whistle are strong and add a lot to the song. I’m not sure how people can’t hear Sia at the end of the song, she sounds great! However, she definitely didn’t need to be credited Wildcard - Great vocals and interesting production Island - Really great production, I’m finally getting the PM vibes Woman Woman - A super nice ballad. It would have been a great closer to the album. Some strong vocals on this Flowers (Demo) - I much prefer this instrumental for the song. It should have been named Flowers (PM Version) or something as this clearly wasn’t the demo, though
This started really, really high, and then it hit a brick wall with Handstand. It didn’t start to pick up again until Muddy Feet, and fully got back on its feet by Island. River absolutely should not have been the second single, and the AM/PM thing is pointless. She worked with some strong producers on this, most if not all instrumentals were interesting and well produced

Love it. It's more subdued in places compared to Plastic Hearts but still has a great edge/rockier influence to a number of songs. If I had to describe it I would say it's Ashley O meets Plastic Hearts Miley. Production is top notch on the album.
Highlights are "Flowers"/"Jaded"/"Rose Colored Lenses"/"You"/"Violet Chemistry"/"Wildcard"/"Island". "River" is great too and really catchy but is too short!
If I had to pick a favourite I'd go with "Violet Chemistry" followed closely by "Wildcard". Hoping they'll push "Violet Chemistry" as a single at some point.

Half of the album kinda feels like Younger Now except with Plastic Hearts vocals and themed and the other half the better uptempo pop songs. I think this is what she explained as the album having an AM side and a PM side. I don't mind that divide being there. Overall I enjoy this album but I don't love it. Though Miley has never delivered an album I ate up wholly so far, so I'm not disappointed. Plastic Hearts had higher highs, but I didn't end up revisiting the album as much as I initially thought due to not really caring for anything past Track 7 and having a skip or two in that first half too. I can see myself coming back to Endless Summer Vacation more, despite lacking the oomph songs like Prisoner, Plastic Hearts, Gimme What I Want & Midnight Sky brought.

As my top 3 fave album from here are: Can't Be Tamed BANGERZ Plastic Hearts
this only had like 5 bops for me... like, to me it's giving Younger Now...
So with that my top 3:
River (I am shook) Muddy Feet (thankfully the bare min. of Sia cause I cannot stand her voice) Violet Chemistry

I actually really like this album. I feel like it is very consistent and the songs live up to the album title. One thing I don't understand though is I've seen some people compare it to 'Dead Pets' and I did not hear that at all.

Just finished my first listen. Now choosing specific songs to listen again. It is all sounding already better than the first time. On my first listen for sure River and Muddy Feet caught my attention the most. First time I heard River was on my phone watching the video and my first reaction (as I see also of tiger people here) was how come this is the second single??! Then when listening the whole album loud on good speakers, I LOVED LOVED River!! Such a cool song! No doubt I will be coming back to it again and again.
