Important Announcement!!What a perfect way to kick off a new page! fearlessarrow has convinced me that I need to include "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)". It did not get the opportunity to be featured on another year-end rankdown, as was the case with some of her other re-recordings like "Love Story". And it was absolutely one of the biggest viral moments of the past year upon its release, which is definitely worth acknowledging! If you have already sent me a list, please update it to include "All Too Well" when you get a chance! You are welcome to rank either the original version or the 10-minute version, since the charting seems to have included streams from both. And I know some people don't want to listen to a 10-minute song, lol. But if you do, it is absolutely worth it for all the lyrical zingers!!!  And if you haven't sent me a list yet, please include "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" instead of Adele's "Easy On Me"! That's a logical one to cut anyway, since it's not available on streaming.

ngl I'm slightly more okay with ATW being featured here since it's more than just a standard re-recording like "Love Story" was since we got a whole new 10-min version...
That said, I just worry about it potentially winning over more deserving country hits of the year. :/
Also if we had to remove a song, the awful Chris Stapleton wailing over top of Adele's masterpiece not-country-at-all song was the logical choice

Okay can we stop here and not also remove the Adele/Chris Stapleton song. It's a good bottom 10 contender (even if I myself ranked it pretty high as I tend to be more favorable to Chris Stapleton's music)

Was going to do this, but I don't think I'll have the time. I'll be an active watcher though and give all my unfiltered opinions as the rankdown unfolds. How much time do you need?? I am already planning to extend through the weekend, but I can wait a liiiittle bit longer if needed. Not like if you need an entire month or anything, but within a few reasonable days of the deadline! Lol It's always more fun with more people! Plus from what I know about you I am willing to bet that you are about 99% more likely to share your thoughts throughout the reveals than the majority of the rankdown "regulars", so you may as well have your opinions influencing the results If you definitely can't make it, no worries, but I am willing to try to accommodate! |
