Surprised SHMAHC won Song of the Year as it is an interpolation, which is not inherently bad, but comparing with other originals it just feels weaker in the songwriting aspect.

Very surprised at the love for She Had Me at Heads Carolina. Personally, it's one of the most I've listened to in the past year ... but I thought there were definitely better songs to win both Song and Single. Interestingly, I thought it'd win Musical Event because of Jo Dee Messina and that's the one it lost lol.

I thought they posted the performances to YouTube right after they happen but none have made it to YouTube yet. Hopefully they'll be there when I wake up tomorrow.

And now, Album of the year!
And the winner is ...
Bell Bottom Country!
That means that if Carrie or Miranda don't win EOTY, Lainey will be the only female to win any of the awards.

Lainey is the next female who will reach the Carrie and Miranda level. It's been a long time since a woman has reached that high level but she has the best chance!

“Next Thing You Know” is going to be just absolutely massive. I think it’ll be remembered years from now.

That EOTY win from Chris Stapleton feels random, but good for him. New music please

Entertainer of the Year really should've been Morgan's... but I'm glad Chris Stapleton finally got this honor as he deserves it (I would've given it to him a few years back, but whatever).

Lol I am just glad to see someone different win, and someone who isn’t as “new” as Luke or Morgan. Chris is a generational talent with a once in a lifetime voice. He has been working his ass off these last ten years or so, and has consistently been nominated in EOTY since, I’m happy to see him win even if it’s a little off-cycle relative to his music and touring. The ACMs have been much better at spreading the love, especially in EOTY. I’m always going to want Carrie to win, but she’s a 3x EOTY and it doesn’t get much better than that!

Lainey Wilson winning Album of the Year, hot damn yasssss now we're cookin' with GREASE! 👏😍🤠
Hope she starts getting fast-tracked at radio with her single releases now. Like, if "Watermelon Moonshine" could not take like 45 weeks to hit #1, that'd be awesome. Bell Bottom Country won the Album award so let's make it a monumental era with at least 2 more major hits. 🔥

They haven't uploaded Miranda's performance to YouTube yet. Wonder if that is because she isn't signed to a label.

STUNNING performance. This is by far my favorite song from Palomino, and this performance is right up there with Dolly as the best of the night imo. I’m interested to see where her career goes moving forward, in terms of finding a label or perhaps even starting her own (like Dolly’s Butterfly Records, Reba’s Rockin’ R Records, etc.) and starting to begin that transition into the more “legacy act” era, which is bound to happen, as she’s approaching 20 years in the game and country industry seems to have an expiration date for most women’s commercial prime. Very happy overall with the list of winners. I have some reservations, but for the most part, they got it right. I’m especially stoked to see Lainey Wilson snag so many awards this year, including Female VOTY and Album of the Year!!! Let’s keep this momentum going for her and her career!

She already has Vanner Records since The Weight of These Wings.
