Although she didn't break the record for most streams in a single week on the U.S. charts (she didn't come close to beating Olivia or Taylor's stats), Miley Cyrus still gave us the first blockbuster hit of 2023 with Flowers debuting atop with a whopping 20M, breaking the record for most weekly streams globally. And she wasn't the only female act who's comeback broke through as fueled by relationship drama and also being a good song, Shakira's recorded sessions with Argentine producer Bizarrap also debuted in the Top 5 with 8M+ streams. And the other woman in the Top 5 - SZA - actually even reached a new peak for Kill Bill as it gained 10%! Round up the Top 5 are Metro Boomin's two hits also continuing to gain as Creepin' was up 11% and Superhero (Heroes & Villains) earning a big 24%.

In other happenings, Nonsense shot up after going viral last week, getting a massive gain of 118%. Snooze rebounded big by 40% perhaps prepping itself as the 6th single from SOS, as strangely did Cults' Gilded Lily. the original Shut up My Moms Calling also saw a big gain of 38%. Lastly for the big gains, the sped up version of Escapism. was up 35% after finally charting last week and Clouded for some reason shot up 30%.

Other gains saw No Se Va bouncing back up 21% with Sun to Me also gaining 21%, and speaking of Zach Bryan, Heading South rose 20% while SPIT IN MY FACE gained 17%, the awful Riptide for some reason saw a resurgence of 17%, both Out thë way and Heart to Heart rose 15% and reached new peaks, and finally lovely saw a small boost also of 15%

Finally to round things out, with all of their respective streams combined, Escapism. would be #7, Shut up My Moms Calling at #11/#12, and Until I Found You lands at #20/#21

To further the Shape Of You comparisons, it’d be similar to when Bad and Boujee took the #1 for a couple of weeks after SOY’s debut before it got enough radio and stable streaming to hold the #1 for as long as it did.

Still holding out hope Creepin could be a challenger. It arguably has as much radio potential as Flowers and Kill Bill and still doesn’t have a music video. Other than the admittedly, VERY unlikely chance it does become a challenger, the next couple of months of battling for the #1 is likely gonna be Miley vs SZA and JUST Miley vs SZA.

Okay, so here's a question: if "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" does debut in the top 10 (which it's looking like it most likely will), will Bizarrap be the first Argentinian to have a top 10 in the U.S.? I can't think of any Argentinian acts who have achieved that, so I feel like he might just be the first to do it.
