The snippet sounds similar to Saweetie's Closer which already was strikingly similar to Doja's Kiss Me More. These girls need to stop the Doja imitation acts as their follow up singles.

Big Energy sounded like a massive hit when I first heard it, but I don't hear it with this one. I don't see it doing much at all tbh. Maybe Top 15 at Pop due to a huge push similar to Saweetie's Closer, but horrible streaming.

Difference is HER hook on βCloserβ didnβt jump out the pocket, it kind of just sounded like the rest of the record. This one has a hook thatβs absolutely undeniable.

I love this!!
Yes, the sound is similar to Dojaβs βKiss Me Moreβ etc but I donβt think she sounds like Doja like a few other female rappers out there.
The chorus to this is extremely catchy and even the verses are easy to rap/sing along to.
I donβt listen to the radio at all anymore so I donβt get stuck listening to stuff I donβt want to so maybe thatβs why Iβm loving this. Iβm not tired of this sound yet.

I think itβs more of fact that Dr. Luke doesnβt switch his style up when producing for female rappers dabbling into Pop music. Iβve heard this sound on more than Dojaβ¦ it just so happens that Dr. Luke produces all of Doja's pop singles. |
